To each their own, but it's not me that's out of style. So cal is where I grew up and low ankle sox was never a thing there (maybe in the 80's). When I think of low ankle socks, I think of country club yuppies, and that kid Jayson from big brother.
And the only sandals I wear are the Nike or Adidas ones (flip flop style), never with socks, and only at the pool or the beach.
DC's have been the thing out here for a long time, damn you guys still haven't caught up.

Bell bottoms were once in style also. How do you feel about those? When I say ankle socks I mean the ones that don't come past the top of the shoe. Skateboarders made the DC's popular. I'd wear vans overs DC's. I've never owned a pair of DC's. Not my style. To each their own.
Everyone at the gyms these days wears the low ankle socks. Moe comfortable and less constricting.
Yeah bell bottoms look ridiculous, don't feel the same about that as socks. I'll also add that if people could see your socks when wearing pants/not shorts, you got made fun of out here.
Hey aren't you guys still wearing wranglers, and cowboy hats out there? Want to see something ridiculous? Visit the E club on a saturday night. I know you know what I'm talking about Bourn.
I agree. Let's try to remember that the posters on this board don't have the same exposure to fashion that West Coasters have. I just try to keep that in mind.
If you're sitting eating dinner and your pants come up slightly your socks can't show?
Well yeah, agree. Your pants would be way too high. That would be Carolina Kid doing that shit.
Never owned a pair of sandals although I will admit to wearing black Nike quarter socks with DC shoes. I don't know if that's what you meant.
Where all this originated was Dante was clowning around in a thread and he was putting people down like he did. The topic turned to fashion and he started innocently joking about my fashion and making things up. No problem I thought and a couple other guys joined in. I thought I would be a good sport and not think anything of it.
Then the snowball started rolling and people I never heard of before started joining in so I decided to put a stop to it. I've been in places where I just let people clown on me to be a good sport where later on it just turns into "clown on Quantum" and I lose all respect from anyone. I get left out of things, people don't take me seriously.
My reputation on this forum is too important to me to let that happen. I let BAS clown on me because he's a friend. But I also set the record straight.
:howdy:

Wearing pants or jeans then no low socks. No brainer.
If you go to a country concert down here then yeah you see people wearing that. Or a country bar. I have none of that garb. I have worn that get up in my mid 20's though to country bars to pick up hot country chics.
I dont think I've heard of the E Club. What's that. I knew of a club Eden, but that was 20 years ago. When is the last time you were in Dallas btw?
Do you wear Capri pants BAS?
