A place not many think of. Really growing and has plenty of money to support a pro team:

football king is right. a stadium between austin and san antonio on interstate 35 for nfl football and one for mlb baseball using shared parking with train transportation between the cities seems to be a great idea.

None.

Pro sports should contract (sp). Too many teams in the NBA and MLB.

NHL has 4-6 teams in serious peril.

NFL at 32 is fine, would prefer at 24 or 28.

I am so happy Jerry Jones is having trouble finding a sponsor for his new staduim. Financially teams do not prove a worthwhile return on investment for cities spending over $250M+ to build arenas/stadiums.

Like other businesses, have the owner fit the bill themselves.

No need for a pro team in LV, too many non-natives.

San Antonio would be a good choice for Baseball, but the Astros and Rangers would protest and football would be a tough sell as San Antonio has more Cowboys fans than Dallas.

1. Move the Phoenix Coyotes back to Winnipeg.
2. Move the Florida Panthers to suburban Toronto.
3. Move the Florida Marlins to Brooklyn.
4. Move a bunch of NASCAR races back to old tracks like North Wilksboro and Rockingham.

Most would laugh at your suggestions, but very much on point with all of the items.

Marlins attendance is pathetic.

Reminds me of when I used to go to Cleveland Indians games in the 1980s, we would go just to catch a foul ball.

WNBA plays in Ct.

We don't have a 'big four' professional team, but there is quality baseball up the street where I live (BlueFish, Indie league)
Hartford has a quality AAA hockey team, Bridgeport also.

And the UCONN girls are so good, they may as well be a pro team.

And a Las Vegas NBA team. It's long overdue.
Any chance of that ever happening went out the window after that All-Star game fiasco a few years ago.
Stern doesn't want any part of Vegas after that bar shootout.

The WNBA Suns are no draw, C'mon, Bill !

Fact is CT is just 100 miles of space to travel through between NYC and Boston, and if you're in the middle of CT like Hartford, you have 12 pro teams nearby.

Actually Hartford might be unique that way.... where else are 12 major sports teams within 100 miles ?

I think that is the excuse to not put a team in Vegas.

Getting back to Conneticut, how far from Boston shortest and longest points.

I know so many live so close to NYC that they are either NYY or NYM fans. Very difficult to support a baseball or football team between Jets, Giants and Pats. Off course, BOS, NYY, NYM, damn near impossible.

The Philly market is another option, being in B-port. I'm between New Haven and New London, myself.

Plenty of options exist for a Nutmegger to go to a pro game, just not in CT, itself !

Aren't the Uconn Men still ranked #1 in NCAABB ?

With baseball, there is a river ( the CT river), it kind of bisects the state...West of the river, you're supposed to be a NYY fan, East of the river, you're supposed to support the Sox, and pronounce it "Rivah".

It really changes here ( baseball loyalties), when you cross the river/rivah.

Louisville has an excellent track record for minor league baseball.....could be ready for a MLB franchise in the future..
