The United States had no business entering World War 1. The people of America wanted nothing of it. Woodrow Wilson, the criminal he was, allowed hundreds of American civilians to be killed aboard the munitions carrying ship, the Lusitania. The sinking of the Lusitania was the catalyst that changed American sentiment to joining the War.I agree on Vietnam. the rest we were forced into for the protection of our allies and ultimately our liberty and way of life.
ummmm, interesting analogy.
I would argue that 9/11 proved the status quo was not acceptable, that we had to change the culture of hate by defeating terrorist sponsoring regimes,
" for the protection of our allies and ultimately our liberty and way of life".
Korea?
He may avoid going down as the worst, thanks to David Petraeus.
But definitely scraping the bottom along with Carter, LBJ, Harding, and Buchanan.
Americans are against war, yet the most revered presidents were war mongers (Lincoln, FDR, etc).I'd think Any President would have had a rough ride these eight years. 9-11, and the Economic downturns aren't his fault, yet he had to deal with them. It certainly hasn't been a good 8 years, and I guess that's how he'll be measured.
Isn't It Odd that FDR was President during a HORRIBLE 12 years in Amercan History, yet he's remembered fondly.
A surpise attack on his watch, 200K Americans killed, Economic Disaster and USA becoming more Socialist. His Pyramid Scheme of Social Security will last more than 100 years...but it will end in Disaster. Will he get blamed?
I think calling Bushie the "worst President ever" might not be as bad as it gets.
I think he will go down as the President who wasn't President.
If it is eventually revealed that Cheney was actually scheming and calling the shots, Bushie's legacy will be laughable.
It's one thing to be a bad POTUS, it's another to be your VP's little bitch.
