The media is not so much lazy as it is owned. Any good journalist could tell you endless stories about great stories that don't make the news.

In the interest of keeping their job they don't complain much. It's a fast moving business and there is always a new story about Britanny, Lindsey, Anna, etc.

Clinton knew the score when he was being roasted in 1998. He actually did a good job of acting so mad about it. While he was being impeached the CIA was setting up the war to come in Afganistan and Iraq. The press and the people slept.

According to table 5, page 11 of that document, in the eight years 1993-2000 (Clinton) 1 (one) U.S. soldier died due to hostile action, while in just six years 2001-2006 (no numbers yet for 2007 and 2008) of Bush there were 2,603 U.S. soldiers killed by hostile action.

You are correct I never once gave much thought to a US military person dying from natural causes during the Clinton years as I have been concerned about the thousands of my fellow Americans who have died working mercenary duty for BushCo during the past seven years.
