Alaska is big homie! Anchorage is south and super weak when it comes to weather. I worked up north on the oil fields and you get some -40/-60 days with unreal blizzards. Fairbanks is also a place that gets cold as fuck. There isn't even snow on the ground in Anchorage right now and I sleep with my window open.

I get sick and tired hearing about how bad news sells. I say bull shit! The other day there was a thread made here about an act of kindness. It had a lot of hits and comments. Why doesnt our media report more good news? I honestly think people as a whole would be more upbeat instead of always negative. Im telling you, our media stinks. I totally understand what this is all about, but if we wouldn't broadcast this crap 24-7 we as a whole would be a lot better off. Im out.

Theres some days where if any of your skin is exposed for more than a minute you start getting frostbite. The one thing I'll never miss is the plane rides. Riding in some junk BP plane, in -20 degree weather landing on an ice covered dirt airfield is scary as shit. And you're not allowed to drink on the ride also. Like, I still have nightmares.
