What if Rodgers has told them he will never play for them again? Says trade me or I sit the year and host Jeopardy. Then what? Call his bluff and risk getting nothing in return for him?
I did not see his comments today until just now. Now I'm going to have to stay up and drink

It’s such a huge cap hit for the Packers unless they find a way around it.

I swear the NFL cap is one of the most mysterious/complicated thing in sports. How in the hell was Tampa able to spend all that money and bring everyone back? And I know Brady's salary isn't a huge hit. But still. What they were able to do was unprecedented. How are they able to manipulate that thing to their advantage while other teams are always in cap hell? Aren't all of these GM's supposed to be playing by the same cap rules?

Tampa ran a smooth cap before Brady got there so they had limited dead money, so now they can do what teams like the Steelers, Saints, Rams have been doing in previous years by kicking the can down the road. Eventually the bill comes due and you take big dead money hit but that is the basis of it.

Yeah, they’ll will kick themselves in the ass at some point, but who cares if you’re winning.
He’s going somewhere. Wouldn’t be out there so much if he was staying.

He should probably just go to Jeopardy. Doesn't have to come up short in the playoffs again if he does that!

Owners were already aware of this before today, probably for a week or two at least. It just become public knowledge today because of the draft

If I am the Packers I would try to fleece a team as much as I could and trade his ass.

Let Rodgers underachieve in the playoffs somewhere else

Packers are a terrible organization

They have decades of back to back hall of fame QBs and only two superbowls to show for it

Drafting a (third string) QB last year was so fucking stupid for a team a piece away from a championship

Aaron Rogers is a top 3 QB and I hope he goes someplace else and wins

He gone. When a star wants out don’t they usually get their way?

Nope that was a leverage move by him so the Packers get him help on offense unlike last year when they fucked him.

I just don’t see how such a high profile move can be made at this point in the offseason .
