1999 Ryder Cup

Colin Montgomrie over Payne Stewart, Colin 2 down with 2 to go, and Payne concedes the match, because US already won.

Richhh, I think you're talking about the Blues @ Jackets game. With about 15 seconds left in OT, a guy on the Blues basically tackles a Jackets player (the Jackets player was about to make a play on the puck). The crowd is going nuts because they want the penalty. The puck slides past both of them and the Blues get a 3-on-1 breakaway.

Blues score the relatively easy goal, they win 2-1.

1) I had the Giants ML!!!!!!!!!!

2) Go figure, but the Cowboys might make the playoffs because the NYG kicker couldn't keep the ball in-bounds!

I need TB-5' for the last leg of my IIS parlay contest. I know if I win I take a 2 parlay lead. It is a healthy contest so I lay off $250 on the NYG i beleive. Tampa kick or misses a field goal (I was drinkig SURPRISE and played the Gints + 6'. best I couls find. I am sure you all remember the saftey with them down 4. My parlay lives and I get some pocket $...SWEET

2002 detroit lions down by 16 at +3.5 with 2:00 in the 4th at home minnesota fumbled the snap at there own 15 detroit scored on the following play, missing the 2 point coversion. Detroit kicks off down by 11 Minnesota fumbled the kickoff and Deroit scored 2 plays later, Detroit the gone for 2 again and gets it putting them down by 3. they still lost but it was a great cover.

Well, I think tonight's Duke-UCONN ranks right up there with that Music City Miracle as far as covers are concerned. Your thoughts?

Jake The Snake -7 or -9? to USC in '97, down a TD @ home, ties it late, goes OT, scores TD, then intercepts USC for ATS cover on runback..absolutely unreal!

Also won that crazy Jax-Pitt MNF game in '99 or '00, on block FG return.

Meaningless 3-pointers (or 2-pointers) @ the buzzer happen every week in college and the NBA. Duke's 3-pointer is magnified because it was a Final 4 game.

In terms of probability, Duke's 3-pointer isn't even close to the Music City Miracle. The MCM was something that only happens every 10-20 years.

the duke cover wasn't that bad as the hawaii game a few weeks ago against the huskers... My best win was the spurs last year against the nets,,,, I won a butt load of money off that game.. Duncan's tip in was great.. That is right every night crazy stuff happens in hoops... i am happy i won in blackjack tonight!!

Things that make you go hmmmmm? Really?

Nothing too odd about that last shot. Duke cover is nowhere near others mentioned above.

Hell, Duke was the right side most of the game.

I had Hawaii a few weeks ago on that bad beat, but Duke's 3 pter tonite sealed a 9 to 1 parlay for me. +9 units on a meaningless shot goes down in the memory banks for me. making a withdrawl tomorrow to enjoy it too.

Let me clarify what I meant:

I was speaking in terms of the amount of action on that particular game last night. Obviously, in hoops, back door covers occur more than in any other sport. But the Music City Miracle was a playoff game and this was the Final Four, so yes, it was magnified versus when a shot like Duhon's happens any other time.

My luckiest may well be NE beating the Bills a few years back. NE threw a 50 yard Hail Mary with no time left. Incomplete...wait bogus interference call. NE scored on next play to take the lead. I still need a point and a half to cover, I'm sunk.

But wait the Bills have left the field, and won't come out to defend the extra point. After a ten minute delay, NE lines up to kick extra point (against no D) I'm screaming at the TV go for two. And then I see NE coach holding up two fingers. Snap came to the holder, laterals to the kicker, he trots in unopposed. I cover by a half point.
