Nothing I'll ever see will beat that one for sheer improbability.

Made up for the ass burgling when that dude called time to get that last minute score.

lol - actually, no, it didn't, because the actual win was half that of what I WOULD have cashed had that miserable Louisville cretin not skipped over to Coachy with a 15 point lead and 13 seconds left in the game to ask sweetly if he could ram home the bone ... I don't like losing on freak plays, but losing on plays that NEVER should have happened, yeah, THAT I hate! For you, you lousy Louisville turd-grader QB

just the other night, right before this thread went up. I had a 4 teamer and for the last leg I needed Maryland -4 to cover.

So they have a 7 point lead with 2 minutes left and then a phantom 3 point foul gets called and before you know it Wisconsin has taken a lead.

Finally Maryland gets two free throws with 2 seconds left, down 1 point. So I need the guy to brick one, make the other, go into o.t. and then win by 5 or more.

And by god that's what happened; with some plus moneyline hockey action in there I got paid about 15-1, yeehaw!! Of course sitting there twisting on the couch while all of this went down made me feel like I ought to have gotten about 100-1.

I think it was 3 years ago. I played Clev Indians for a large amount. It was a Sunday morning game. Cleveland was down by 4 in the bottom of the ninth. They scored a run so they were down by 3. Then Jim Thome came up with the bases loaded and hit a Grand Slam to win the game.

Had to be this year when Texas Tech played Oklahoma State. I took Tech +3. Texas Tech was dead in the water down 48-21 going into the 4th quarter. Well, B.J. Symons led them all the way back to lose by 2, 51-49. Best one I can remember because I had Texas Tech in a 4-team parlay that weekend with Navy, Utah, and New Mexico, all rocking chair games.

I mentioned this topic to my wingman and he said it had to be a couple year's ago when Miami played Boston College. He remembered that the line was 6 and Miami had a 1 point lead real late in the game. BC threw a pick with like 10 seconds to go in the game and the corner that picked it off, instead of taking a knee ran with the ball and at about the 50, lateralled the ball right as he was being tackled and the guy for Miami took off to the end zone to win the game by 7 and cover the number. Does anybody remember this?

When I was a horseplayer, many years ago, I bought a ten dollar win ticket on the wrong horse at Hollywood Park. The wrong horse won and paid $80,or $400 for the ticket. I still remember the name of the horse: Roberto,a foreign horse.

NJ/SA game 1 over was cool

but I lose a lot more of the improbable variety for sure

Pancho,

do you remember what the 2nd half line on that Buff/HOU playoff game was? I was maybe 17 at the time.

also that Reggie Miller taking down of the Knicks game in the last few seconds was maybe the craziest as so many things had to happen on routine plays. Anyone remember the line on that game?

Marshall (I think) bowl game two or three years ago. I remember taking the 2nd half -3 (I think) for quite a bit.

LA/DAL a year ago pissed me off when LA was down around 30 and came back.

NYK/LA last year which landed on 6 from +6.5 (I think) pissed a lot of people off (not me for once).

1/7/2002:

Baltimore fighting to clinch a playoff berth was laying 12.5 to Minnesota at home. Game was 12-3 all throughout the 4th quarter and it looked like I was going to lose big. Minnesota had the ball first down on their own 15 yard line with 1:37 left.

If they drove the field, I would lose.
If they went 3 and out, I would lose.

Spergon Wynn, the backup QB for Minnesota drops back and gets nailed and fumbles the football. Jamie Sharper picks it up and honestly nearly gets tackled by 3 different guys. If he gets tackled, Baltimore takes a knee and I would lose.

Somehow he breaks through the tackles and rumbles into the endzone for a TD to put the Ravens up 19-3 and give me the cover.

i had padres -1.5 runline. bases loaded, bottom ninth, 2 outs, tie game...padres at bat. anything but a grandslam and i lose. if a single i lose, if an out i lose.

steve finley laid into it, dramatic call as it approaches fence and goes out. i think i ran thru the house screaming for like 5 str8 minutes knocking stuff over

Indianapolis Colts in week 6 of this season -- down by 3 touchdowns with 4 minutes to go against Tampa Bay who had the best defense in the NFL. They won in OT and I had them on the moneyline. Paid +200 if I remember correcly...a lot of guys said they were giving up NFL betting that day

I had the NY Jets a couple of years ago to win straight up against Seattle, in a 3 team tease. It was the game that Testeverde was a full yard short of the goal line but was ruled a TD!!!!!!
