"biggest play of the year"
"KC is a lock"

Two of the quotes I've read here today.

Meche has been pitching well, Buccholz hasn't, and while if I weren't a Red Sox fan my lean would be towards KC, there isn't a chance I'd make this my biggest play of the year or bust out the "L" word.

So as the thread title suggests..

What's with the KC love?

My softball team could beat the Royals :missingte

I love when people say this stuff. The Royals just beat the Chi Sox by over 10 runs yesterday, and they were the best team in the league in interleague play. They aren't a bad team.

Kansas City is 24-18 their last 42 games overall. They have been playing well, hitting the ball and getting good pitching. But don't let facts get in the way of reputation and perception.

Good post.

This KC team isn't like the Royals teams of the past 5-10 years.

Kansas City is not a lock nor is any other play. Many of us just think this is a good spot for a Kansas City team that is playing well with a hot pitcher going against a Boston team with one of their weaker pitchers going. I don't think many are making this a "make or break" game or a lock by any means. We just think it is a solid play on Kansas City. Does that mean it will win? Not at all. They could lose and lose badly but those of us on Kansas City view them as the correct side.

Another good post.

From what I was reading this afternoon, you'd think the Royals were playing a local Missouri little league team. That's all.

Don't worry. The vast majority of the people out there believe the Red Sox will win the game. By the way, I had you confused with someone else but I can't remember their screen name. I had asked them why they took their picture down and they didn't know what I was talking about. I had the wrong person. Or was it you? Maybe I am confused.

I don't have a clue as to what you're talking about, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say it wasn't me.
