What's the most physical pain you've ever experienced in your life thus far ?

I have been in 4 car accidents on the freeway (2 major, 2 minor). Once cut myself being careless with a skill saw. And drove myself to the hospital in an unforgiving truck because my appendix wanted to be removed.

The two most memorable painful events are much less dramatic. The first involved basically stubbing my little toe on a door jam. Spiral fracture.
The other was when I was a teenager. Was all excited to take my first dirt bike out to the trails. Me and a buddy were loading it up. We had to lift it into a truck. I grabbed the back of the bike on the swing arm. When the bike started to roll forward my thumb was between the swing arm and a bolt from the sprocket. It seemed like time stood still when I realized what was happening. Lost half my thumbnail but luckily it grew back. Of course we still went to the trails.

I had surgery for a pneumothorax and the nurse woke me up in the middle of the night to give me a catheter up my penis so I could pee. The pain was unbearable. If felt like she was putting a razor up my penis. I was yelling at the top of my lungs in the middle of the night.

I am not sure why it hurt so much. Some people say that a catheter is not that painful. I do not know why mine was.

Has anyone else had a urinary catheter.

I have had multiple broken bones....all not at once

My kidney stones make all those look like chocolate ice cream. The pain is so intense and so continues that I can not even get out of the fetal position when one is passing. I now have 2 in the left kidney and 1 in the right. My body just keeps making em! Oh by the way I have had surgery 2x for them. Once they got one out through my penis hole and once they broke it up with sound waves. I just keep making em!

How'd you get shot? Kidney stones were worse?

I've broken my ankle, arm twice, wrist once but I had my teeth zoomed about 3 months ago and it hurt worse.

had this done too and I agree. so uncomfortable. your mouth is stretched as far as it can possible go for about 60 min straight.

would not do it again either.

One thing about stones though and I have had a dozen+ episodes, I have passed a stone that didn't hurt at all and but I felt trickle thru plumbing. I was laughing when I saw it sitting on bottom of bowl, 'Felt like.... Victory!' But for the most part they make you want to tear the skin off your face.

nothing to compare to most of what i have read here, but did burn the fingers on my hand on a grill one time.....they were so tender for a bout a week i couldnt touch anything......had to keep salve on them and try to keep them wrappped.....well it was my hand i write with, everything......it seemed horrible at the time til they started to heal....but still nothing compared to some of what i have read

Me and my buddies were shooting cans and stuff with 22s. My buddy took a shot hit a rock and the bullet ricochet and hit me in the fat of my calf. It burned more than hurt. I went to the hospital and stayed over night. They removed it. I still have it. lol Actually, being shot was the least painful hehe

I have been stabbed through the ribs and it hurt but I was in shock so it wasnt as bad as when I took out my widom teeth and a blood bubble formed in my mouth the pressure and pain was unbearable it finally burst while I was rinsing out my mouth with salt water the relief was instant.
I've torn my forskin but I was ruined at the time and didn't notice until I went to piss the next morning it was a crazy burning feeling.
I also blocked a slapshot in ball hockey with my left nut it swelled up bad but was not ruptured it felt like I had to puke, shit, piss all at the same time my nut is still extra sensitive still to this day.

outside a club a brawl broke out and a few of my friends were involved, I had no clue what was going on but seen one of my buds was hitting some guy when another guy grabbed him in a choke from behind so I ran over and cracked the guy and during the scuffle I felt a nice body shot but being a little drunk and full of adrenalin I didn't know how bad it was until I seen the blood, ended up with 45 stitches in total

i had hip dysplasia, the condition that of course is more common in dogs than humans.

and all i can say is it hurt like a bitch when it got to its worse point, and then the reconstructive surgeries hurt too.

I can relate to those that had food poisoning. I got it one time from fish at Long John Silver's - was about 24 hours of total agony.

Worst pain though for me is back spasms. I used to get them real bad to the point where I would drop to the floor and wouldn't be able to move/breathe without triggering more. Was like being hit by a bolt of lightening out of nowhere. Very painful. This is when I was in my late teens, early 20's. In early 30s now and I very rarely ever get them anymore, and when I do they are very mild compared to what I used to get.

10 year update. The broken hip from skiing is still without question, the most pain I ever endured. In the past few years I have had a few more attempts to beat that, but they fell more into the "very uncomfortable" category. Namely a needle thru my eardrum that had me a bit anxious thinking about the procedure before it took place. And also had a hemerroid "lanced" by a female doctor and her female assistant. That one was super awkward and embarrassing and hurt much less than I expected.

I got pretty badly injured in college. I broke my iliac crest and had a 2 inch deep gash. While in the ER a male nurse came in to clean the womb. With no warning he stuck a needle in wound for local anesthesia. My automatic reaction was to swing on the guy. I hit him the face with a back hammer first. He yelled at me and I bit down and cried like a bitch. I also broke my patella in half and tibia and had a knee brace. I guess they put it on too tight because I was laying in the hospital bed and out of nowhere had sharp excruciating pain. Apparently, and I have no recollection of this at all, my mom was talking on the phone. I start slapping her leg and grabbed the phone and told my dad "we can't fucking talk" and hung up on him. A nurse came in and took the brace off. They thought I had a blood clot.

Kidney Stones. 10 out of 10 pain....Felt like I got blasted with a shotgun to the lower waistline area. Have been putting lemons in my water ever since to avoid that hell
