$2,000 was the largest wager I made. I remember it clearly, I bet Manchester United -2.5 against piss poor Derby in an EPL game. Manchester United were winning 3-0 with about 20 minutes left, and Derby scores their first away goal of the season, a goal btw that was very questionable as it didn't look like it had completely crossed the line. Anyways, I went from joy to complete shambles. But I got a stroke of luck, as Derby conceded a penalty in the very last minute of injury time, which Ronaldo put home and Man United won 4-1, covering the 2.5 goals. I was jumping all over the place, but that roller coaster ride taught me a lesson, and I never wagered that much ever again.

Most I bet now is $500 per game, and that is very rare for me.

I've had 11k on a game once when I was 18, and 10k twice on a game since. I went 2-1 in these games. If you count parlays, technically you could say I had 22k on a game this year. 5 team parlay, 4 win, 5th game is up 10-0 in the fifth and lose 11-10 giving up like 5 or 6 runs in the ninth with two outs. Fun.

Yes I am still a bit bitter. But at least I can add this to the list of things I can blame Jim Hendry for. Damn you not re-signing Derosa

My mistake this wasn't the Cleveland 11- Tampa 10 game. This was Tampa- Yanks. I've lost two big ones this year with Tampa.

May 25 9:57am 2 Team Parlay - Loss 2801.48 to win 8697.32
1. Baseball - Los Angeles Dodgers - moneyline (+115)
for the entire game held on May 25 at 2:10pm [winner]
2. Baseball - Tampa Bay Rays - moneyline (-110)
for the entire game held on May 25 at 5:05pm [loss]

8K on a ISU vs. KU hoops game. It was a Sat game back around 1999 when Tinsley was running the point for 'Clones. ISU was at home and -2 and won by about 10. Nice hit for me but it only cut my balance in about half with my local at the time .... :smoking:

was betting up to $ 2,500 on college hoops Nov / Dec 05

$ 1,500 on football Nov 07

although I know I left more than that on a craps table multiple times

$4100 on a -410 favorite to win $1k. Luckily didn't have to sweat it as the favorite blew out the dog from the open to close in nba. They easily covered the line as well - never trailed the game.

Before that, $1k was the max and I've done that a few times - still remember the first time i did it - had minny in nfl to cover a short line, hell had to be about 15 years ago now - can't remember to whom but they were -3 for the game or so (maybe -4, can't quite remember). They lost, and considering i was playing $50 a game at that time it was a real bad beatdown.

Back in late 80's and early 90's, if I remember right, a few of my buds pooled money on Doc's Big 10 GOY. I had 2-3K on several and the guy who put the bet down usually had 25-30K for us. We ended up going 5-1 and I stopped.

I've already made and won several such wagers with The Fucking Poodle and he's yet to pay even ten cents, the little shitter.

He just grins because he knows if I try to get tough, the SheBar will step in and get his back.

For me, usually 500/1K a game on football only, I don't bother with anything else. I still have an 8 team parlay ticket I bet back in 05' and it still makes me sick to my stomach!! The first 7 covered, the last game, was the late Sunday game with Denver/KC. Denver had them flat out beat with like 8/10 seconds to go. John Lynch got called on a BS, and I mean BS personal foul call on a hail mary pass that put KC on the 7 yard line with almost no time left. Well you know the rest, KC scored to win the game and Fucked my 43K ticket up. I don't know why, but I still have this fucking ticket!!!! Here's a copy of it. Talk about a bad beat, here's mine!!!

1988 Midwest Regional Final(Detroit, Mich), Kansas +3 +2.5 +2 against Kansas State. Manning and the boys had been destroyed by K-St in Kansas City two weeks prior. K-St was off a grueling victory over #1 seed Purdue. If I told you how much, you wouldn't believe me. By the way, I wear a xxxlarge condom.

11k on USC in the Rose Bowl when they played Northwestern. They barely covered and had to sweat it out the last quarter

You really think it's impossible for him to have made 1 11k bet? If he had hit 55% for a single season prior to that bet, coming from an initial roll of $1000, that bet is more than reasonable to be his largest ever.
