Worst beat I ever took...
Was playing the interactives at World Sports Exchange. Can't remember the teams but seems like the Steelers were involved. This was about 3 years ago.
I believe the spread was like Steelers -6. Can't remember the exact score but Steelers scored with like about 2 minutes left to go up 10. Instantly dogs shares start going low like for around 10 bucks. I'm thinking shit all it would take is a good two minute drill and I can clean up. I bought like 20 shares of the dog and sure as shit they go down and score with about 15 seconds left. I'm counting the money -- of course my wife didn't know I had a wager on the game so I am playing it cool.
Then the unthinkable happens. The onside kick is caught in midair by the Steelers and is returned for a TD, thereby sinking my bet and costing me really only about 200 but the 1800 or so I stood to win was gone.

The year was 1991, the last Bush was in office, the DOW was up and Schwarzkopf was an icon. The Lakers and bulls were in the finals and it was the first game of the series and my heart and my wallet was with the bulls.
