I am guessing he got millions of $$$ for what remains on his contract in a severance type of confidential legal agreement with a binding non disclosure to not go after the NFL and if he does, he would be liable for the $$$ in that package plus further damages.

He had one great year with a team that Tony Dungy built. Outside of that hes a league average coach. He didn’t deserve the contract he recently got, though it’s not all that shocking a poorly run franchise like the Raiders gave him one.

John Gruden has a history, he's lived a long life in the public eye. His friends, his colleagues, his associates, his players, his neighbors have all interreacted with him. Many if not most of them will be minorities.
If he has racial tendencies, they would know. If he treated them with dignity and respect, they would know that too.
