One of my fav stats in sports history is the fact zach johnson won the master and never hit a par 5 in two. I attended that masters it was ugly, wet, cold, and everyone and their mom was following tiger waiting on him to make his move. Everyone thought he did on 14 but ultimately steady Zach pulled it out.
Or when you don't have a game on tv you got a dump truck of money on it and yahoo sits at 15:00 left in the first quater....normally not a problem but you switch over to ESPN.com only to find the same thing...then cbs....fox...SI...until you give up only to see a 14-0 score on the F'ing bottom line of a Northwestern-Indiana big ten matchup you actually are getting on tv.
2 i wont forget. remember when that Detroit coach ran the clock out on the 6" yd line needing 1 score for the over...At home, The WHOLE FRICKIN STADIUM screaming at him.....not to mention all the crap i threw at the T.V............lol
Then a Lakers game i had over 191.5...with 6/10ths on the clock and the score at 190 Kobe goes to the line. Smooth and calm he buries the 1st 1. Then just as he's about to fire the 2nd he jerks a lil, takes the ball with 1 hand and throws it at the backboard...
I fall on the floor clutching my chest and as the puke is coming up my pipes i swear he turned and looked right into the camera with this "fucked ya didnt i" look on his face. I was sick for a week...

With seconds left in the game you've got the cover in football but that team is losing and they're marching down the field trying to score. You hope they just run out of downs or fumble/interception with no gain where the other team would gladly take a knee and just run out the clock. Then you get a pick 6 and lose the bet.
A close second would be. With your bet on the line your team holds it's opponent with seconds left on 4th down. Then the flag flies - UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS. Then they go on to score after they get 4 more downs.
