here's my take and opinion on gambling in general. the question i ask myself is, what would i need to win to be happy? what amount of money is substantial enough for me to say, you know what im good now, i can stop playing blackjack for the night or whatever game. ive yet to win that much that made me stop and my wife and friends think im crazy for not stopping when im up in a casino. which honestly, it seems like i am always up at some point using basic blackjack strategy. maybe only a hundred bucks at some times, but it seems that at some point i am ahead nearly every time i play bj. anyway again, my prob with casino gambling is taht i dont know yet what amount would make me say, you know waht ive won x amt of dollars so i'll call it a night.

If you have never sat down at a blackjack table and just gotten your clock cleaned right off the bat, i.e. lost the first 15 or so hands en route to going bust without ever being up a dime...you haven't played that much blackjack.

To answer the original question.

When it comes to sports I am an overall losing gambler, although only a small loss relative to my bet size. I win a little bit in the NFL and then give it back and then some in college football and hoops; probably pretty break even in the NBA.

I'm finally winning money at poker after years and years of consistently losing, but it's not like I'm getting rich doing it. Small-time winner who still has his ups and downs.

Today's climate has made it tougher on many that did make money in the past. Many of those were so smart they won't play under current conditions as they were spoiled once upon a time.

Spot on.

I'm way, way up lifetime on sports betting. But, since Neteller pulled out of the market years ago, I only dabble in small wagers with my poker winnings... I've made less than 20 bets in the last 2 years.

Oh, and by no means am I some sharp sports-better, but I am a shrewd gambler, and I would whore the bonuses, and arb the play-throughs to make free money...

last year was my first winning year in 5 or 6 years betting, im up so far this year as well, id lime to think im getting better but its probably just variance. My success or so i think is from betting to win and less for action, i play way less games and bet larger on that one or two games i like.

i would go with 10%
