What would be bad about a guy known to have possible terror ties coming up with a flag when he attempts to buy a weapon? What could possibly be wrong with putting that into place?
So, this guy, who had been investigated twice by the FBI is say, put on a "watch list." The minute he goes to legally purchase a weapon, the FBI is flagged.

Without knowing who is on the Terror Watch List its totally impossible to know that "nobody on the terror watch list has bought a firearm (we don't even know if anyone on that list has ever even attempted to buy a handgun) and carried out a mass shooting or terrorist attack"
Do you really think the US Government would tell you if someone on the terror watch list bought a firearm, attempted to buy a firearm and/or carried out a mass shooting or terrorist attack?
What makes you feel like your your Government would volunteer that information to you? When doing so would create an absolute shitstorm of unprecedented degree for them?
All that aside, do you really believe that someone on the Terror Watch List would really need to go through channels which would seee their acquisition of a firearm detected?
There is no major city in America within which they or anyone for that matter would be unable to get firearms if they apply themselves to getting these. Our Ghettos are open 24/7 for Bidness.
