While watching the WSOP they talked about Moneymaker and said he's never cashed in the WSOP main events after he won and has only a in a couple WSOP events (like smaller ones).

I think he had a great run that year. Everything was going for him. Is he a great poker player? Probably not. I think you need to win occassionaly to be considered a great one.

I just watched a documentary on him on pokergo.com. I didn't realize that after he won the WSOP in 2003, he was flat broke in 2004.

He paid off his dad and one other investor, and after the IRS took their cut he had $800K. Then his wife filed for divorce because PokerStars
wanted him to travel, and he ended up giving the whole $800K to her in order for her to agree to not get any future income.

How about Patriots legend Richard Seymour in 135th as the field gets down to around 500 left.

He's a proven champion, something the rest in the field probably can't say.

Will get fake an injury right at the table right before he goes out to prevent the flop and then come running back in when he is fully rested like the AFC Champ game? And then proceed to run around the stadium less than 5 minutes later celebrating.

Seymour up to 9th in chip count.

And you are referring to Willie McGinest and it was a regular season game, Greatest One.

I remember that...he had a huge 4 down stop to win the game and sprinted up the field like nothing had happened lol.

if moneymaker asked me (which he wouldn't) to take a piece of him in a cash
game or a tournement, i would decline. FYI, i've invested in others.

I hadn't heard this before. Chris is quoted in the ESPN 30 for 30 podcast, that he offered to split the money before the heads up match
with Farha, and Sammy said no, he wanted more than half since he was the more experienced player, so according to Chris:
"I looked him dead in the face, and I was pissed, I said 'fuck you' let's play" (7:00 min left in podcast)

Hard to believe it's been 20 years since he had his run at the WSOP.

Just started watching this documentary that came out recently, looks pretty good so far:

Thanks for the video…just watched….reminded me of my younger days dealing poker and living in Vegas before getting involved with offshore sports betting…
