No dude. Come on now, I'm smarter than that. I walked around and blocks and blocks of Detroit are abandoned. Old Detroit stadium is a shell of itself. eople can still smoke in bars and restauraPnts. There are no jobs.

And don't insult me please. I make a good living. The Final Four is packed with people. You have to take what hotel you can find. I can afford whatever I find.

Must not have been in awhile......I would have agreed with you a few years ago but lots is happening TODAY.

Plenty of good tech jobs in Detroit at the moment.

I hope so. I'd love to see it back and thriving.

Yeah, I hope so. Dearborn is a ways from downtown Detroit. The Silverdome is empty.

Why wouldn't it be empty?????????? Lions moved years ago to a new stadium.

Because it could be used for other shit or demolished completely. You can't just leave shit like this to make your community look like ass.

Yeah, the downtown is nice but I'd never just be walking around the downtrodden areas. No clue what gave you the idea to do that, what you lose a bet or something?

IMO, the downtown is not nice. Guess we just see nice has something different. The casinos suck.

Tell that to every country that has ever held the Olympics or the World Cup

But, we aren't talking about other countries or places where the Olympic games have been held. We're talking about a major US City.

Lol.

Biased here but I think Reno's pretty under rated. Lots of people like to bash it, but we have cheap property here, I can ski in Tahoe, go exploring in Yosemite to the south, pay no income tax, bet on sports and play poker legally all from my home. Plus there's good gambling and prostitution is legal near by if you're into that kind of thing.

As far as economics go I think the entire State of North Dakota is under rated. My entire family is from there, and most still live there. Great Jobs and great economy, it's like the recession never hit there.

I agree w/ you on Reno. The downtown has become a dump, but the suburbs and the nearby cities are fantastic. Carson City is really nice...and of course Lake Tahoe. No state income tax is nice as well....and you can legally place a bet on a sporting event!

Still really want to go out there.

St. Augustine Beach is a cool place. Lots of good food.

St. Augustine & St. Augustine Beach are great. There are a lot of small Florida beach communities that are nice and affordable. If you like fishing, golf, surf, beaches, good food/restaurants there are plenty of small Florida beach towns that meet that criteria. If you want to add in some culture and medical facilities you'll have to go closer to a bigger city...but places like Sarasota, Venice, Port Charlotte, Ft Myers and Naples on the west coast are really nice. On the east coast you have Fernandina Beach, St. Augustine, Ormond Beach, Vero, Melbourne, Port Canaveral.

Some smaller cities I've always enjoyed:

Newport, RI
St. Augustine, FL
Annapolis, MD
Reno, NV (and Lake Tahoe)
Key West, FL (and other smaller keys communities)
Cedar Key, FL
Sarasota, FL
Knoxville, TN (and the Smokey Mountains area)

What do you know about South Philly? This ought to be good.....

I know I've been to North Philly in King of Prussia surrounded by millionaire homes. South Philly is home to crime and illegals. I drove through it. Didn't like what I saw. And Camden is way to close for my liking. A row boat away from a gang killing me for $4.34. Maybe there are worst areas in Philly. Not like I hang out there regularly.
