There was a show called "Two A Days" that was all about the Hoover High Football team.

Coach's name is Rush something. Had an affair on his wife for years and got another woman pregnant and school fired him.

Was in Portland for a weekend last mo. Really enjoyed the Alberta Arts District; had never been there before.

Went on vacation to Portland a few summers ago. Very nice clean city, great food there too. Went to a few bars there, everyone still dressed like it's the 90's out there. Voodoo Donuts for breakfast.

Great choice with Rapid City, SD

The Midwest is home to the most underrated best cities, sad many never visit.

LOL, Loomis, I love ya man but Detroit is shit. It's horrendous.

You must not be hitting the right spots. LOTS of great spots downtown and here and there. There are some bad spots but it gets a bad rap overall.

Not saying i wanna live there or anywhere in Michigan, but it's great to visit.

True story Loomis.

I'm sitting in my hotel room attending the Final Four (the one where UNC beat MSU in Detroit with Hansbrough).

The hotel has a porn channel and the porn is going on and I look and the bed, walls and carpet look like the room I'm sitting in. I think it was filmed right there in our hotel possibly in my room.

What a shit hole.

Sooooo by that rationale, Detroit is a shit hole because you couldn't afford a decent hotel? :ohno:

Not all of Detroit is a ghetto.

Detroit has improved a lot since then too. That UNC/MSU game was in '09, pretty much the peak of the recession.

They've had a lot of $ go into downtown since then (Dan Gilbert cavs owner moved a lot of his mortgage co. operations there and has invested a lot in the city)

Got the auto museums in Dearborn as well.

No dude. Come on now, I'm smarter than that. I walked around and blocks and blocks of Detroit are abandoned. Old Detroit stadium is a shell of itself. People can still smoke in bars and restaurants. There are no jobs.

And don't insult me please. I make a good living. The Final Four is packed with people. You have to take what hotel you can find. I can afford whatever I find.

Yeah, I hope so. Dearborn is a ways from downtown Detroit. The Silverdome is empty.
