I hate the fucking Yankees with a passion.

That being said, I can't bring myself to say anything negative
about Jeter or Rivera, they are both class acts, and great players.

Rivera is one of the greatest closers of all time, and yet is very
humble and thankful for what he has.

Jeter from what I've seen handles himself with class on and off the
field.

I can't say the same for A-rod.

I hate how expensive it is being a degenerate Yankee fan.

I hate how people continue to point out how much money the Yankees have (we put up numbers, we put out stars, we put fans in the seats, we hae non-baseball fans sporting yankee hats, we have our own CHANNEL)
Yankees reinvest in the Yankees!

Anything short of a Ring is a disappointment vs other teams; who are satisfied with just making it into the wild card.

I hate that people believe the size of your paycheck determines your talent...look at our bullpen, aside from Mo and Joba, its a fckin mess.

I can't even reply to a post this stupid, when people don't even understand that 90% of the teams in baseball can't even compete for free agents like Tex, CC, and this year like Matt Holiday.

Trust me, every baseball fan would love to have winning the world series as their goal.

If the money doesn't make a difference than why are the Yankees so opposed to a Salary Cap.

With the money the Yankees spend year after year, it was only a matter of time before they broke through and tacked on to the championship total.

This 2009 team was a tremendously talented group of individuals who didn't even play their best ball. And won the thing.

Let me try to explain this in simple terms for all you knuckleheads.

Largest Market = Largest Payroll

one more time

Largest Market = Largest Payroll

That's just how it is.:dancefool
It has also been proven by the Yankees that throwing money at players does not always buy Championships. The 80's and early 90's were very dark days in the Bronx. If it wasn't for Donny Baseball those teams were not worth watching.:ohno:
For all those that say we bought players instead of relying on our farm system I give you Jeter, Melky, Cano, Posada, Joba, and Mariano.!<<)
For all those that say Yankees fans are Douch Bags. Yep we are and don't care.^^:)
That is all.

Congratulations on certifing your douche bag status.

Now, understand the economics of baseball. The 1980's and 1990's didn't have the disparity in salaries.

The Yankees winning a title in the current baseball setup is like being the smartest guy in a room full of retards.

Maybe you should try to fix it?:howdy:

MLB needs to do what Hockey did put in a Maximum and Minimum Salary. Teams can't spend over the limit and teams like the Pirates can field a AAA team and rake in Luxury Tax payments.

It isn't like the salary cap works perfect in the NFL. There are more awful teams in the NFL then in MLB.

Nobody is talking about good or bad teams, we are talking about teams being able to compete.

The titans could never compete, if the NFL used a baseball style payroll, that is the point. If teams suck, that is different, but in the NFL, everyone must spend and there is a limit as well.

That is the difference.

This season but how often do you see MLB teams turn things around as quick as teams in the NFL?

That might be true for the current season. But the NFL has been known as "the league of parity" for years on end.

If a team had to spend an extra 30-50 mil, it would happen a lot. What really needs to be fixed is the international talent pool. That is where the Haves are pulling away from the Have-Nots.

That has to do with management. Teams with the best management win, eg. Patriots. At least they have no inherent financial advantage like the Bankees do. I'm a Browns fan. They are pathetic and the owner doesn't have a clue of what's going on and their drafts have been mind numbingly bad.

Hate nothing about the Yankees as team or organization

I'm very glad that for most of the past eight years they have demonstrated an absolute inability to correlate massively inflated payroll with consistently above average results on the field (only one AL flag and WS during that stretch despite over $1.6Billion in payroll).

thousands of dollars for seats if you want access to those awesome looking Martini Bars (place was empty, and it had my name on it)

or did something change this year?

I only hated the period where George Steinbrenner was overactive, like how may times did he fire and hire Billy Martin to manage. Too hard to hold hate for the first ballpark and team I ever went to see when Mickey and Whitey and company were tearing it up.
