How to approach such a thing tactfully, whether marrying up or down into money, I believe its only fair that its discussed and in almost every case an agreement should be reached before saying the I-Do's

You could always present it as 'protecting your individual inheritances' as though it's in honour of your parents, instead of your own bankbook. Explain the caveat that if you cheat, it's null, and most honest women would be okay with it, presuming she has a career of her own.

It's generally good for the wealthier spouse.

Just be sure you read and understand all of the terms carefully, disclose are pertinent information and make sure both parties are represented by separate counsel, or at least had every chance to be. If you simply whip one up and have spouse sign on the dotted line or else, then it won't be worth the paper it's written on.

I would be willing to do it, but honestly I don't think I will be asked....it was once mentioned in a round about way, and she said to me "I would probably be able to get Alimoney",lol...

Of course I had to follow that up with "Oh Honey, I would never do anything like that"...in all seriousness I would not want anything if it ended....just curious if I should be offended if I am asked...personally I would expect one to be presented, but I doubt it will....

as a female i'd like to say she shouldn't get upset when you bring it up to her...if she does well pumpkin-she's a gold digger...but if she doesn't get worried forget about it...kinda like a scare tactic. I think people get too caught up about this pre-nup crap...its like this...no pre-nup is iron clad...if she wants something she'll get it .. with or with-out a pre-nup!
