I'd be stunned if Brad Stevens breaks this team up for Durant. We don't need a shooter. We need someone who can distribute the ball to the shooters we already have. Someone who can get the offense open shots. We also need depth. Kevin Durant doesn't fit either of those needs. In fact we'd be sacrificing depth for Durant.

Nets countering with Brown, Smart, multiple draft picks, plus another rotation piece (assume White, Pritchard, or Williams would have done it)

Worth entertaining IMO but don't know if I'd pull trigger if I'm Stevens

I don't want to give Brown who's 7 years younger and evolving into a star. I could live with Brown and White and a draft pick. I think Brown might be the best player offered to the Nets. Again, I don't want this trade.

Brown, Smart, another rotation player and multiple draft picks is redicously stupid. That would be as stupid as the Nets trading their future for old Pierce and old KG or the Nets signing KD knowing he's worthless for about two years or the Nets thinking Cryrie is some franchise player

He'll be very good for years but probably never a super star/top tier player
