I'm not sure what you are getting at but Ray Allen was clearly a roleplayer and far removed from his prime with his stint on the Heat. Just dropping "Wade, Bosh, Allen, James" sounds a lot better than it looks without context. He wasn't his prime Ray Allen then.

Do you want LeBron to make every single play necessary for the team to win or something? Because that isn't really how this sport

works.[/QUOTj

just so lebron gets all the credit for wins and no blame for the losses, im good..he is obviously on the downward spiral here

I never said he got no blame for losses. You actually said "How much credit do you give him for winning with that group"

I answered your question. When you're by far the best player on the team that wins and you have to play your best in game 7 or the team loses because your margin for error is that small, then you kinda get credit. How it works.

If you want the best players to be able to win without help from their supporting cast, you're going to be disappointed.

Some of y'all get way too emotional with this stuff. Either that or you just really overthink it to find a narrative that fits what you want to believe.

Dude carries subpar Cavs teams, loses. His fault
Gets better teammates, wins. Well, he needed better teammates.

Yeah it isn't boxing, you kinda do need to play with guys not named Sasha Pavlovic and Delonte West to have success.

I said earlier in this thread they should just finally go to realignment and seed it 1/16. I used to think that would be stupid because conference imbalance was more just variance and changing the entire system would be an overreaction. We just have a huge sample of the West being superior to the East now though, basically going back 25 years.

I doubt they do anything about it though. It's much easier for TV to have it this way. East coast starts, West coast starts, no overlap, etc...

bad simile...christ, losing to magic and kareem? or russel and cousy and those amazing boston squads?

You missed the point entirely, he seemed to be saying, if you lose a lot of finals, you're not so great, but a lot depends on who you are playing(what, is losing to the Spurs, or even an at-his-peak Nowitski chopped liver?)and who you are playing WITH-which is why I mentioned it's not like an individual sport. His point is asinine, whcih more than a couple of people have pointed out.

Name another guy who makes the catch Tyree did against the Perfect Patriots, name another guy besides Cruz who lets an eminently catchable fly ball go over his head with the Rangers one out from winning the World Series, name another supposedly brilliant coach who calls a pass play from the 2 yard line with 20 seconds, three downs, and a time out left with the Super Bowl on the line, name another top MVP candidate who has played a fantastic game who has about 3 brain farts in 5 seconds vs the Warriors with the game on the line, shit happens, and "if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle" stuff is pointless.

tired of people hanging onto the past
sports evolve and players, skill, and talent get better, not worse.
my god, get over yourselves.

MJ was the most dominant of his generation in the 90s without a doubt
shaq was probably the next most dominant, albeit briefly, nobody has had 3 straight rings + 3 finals mvps since him.
then tim duncan
now it's lebron's time.

And let's be honest, the Bulls were still a decent team when Jordan left.
pippen took the bulls to the conference finals, g7

setting the bar high for "decent"

55w team

pippen was all nba 1st team, #1 vote getter, and was all nba 1st defensive team

90s basketball is the definition of a diluted league.

East is horrible.......Hawks are the #1 seed.....What a joke.

Yep, if Lebron had spent his career in the West he would be lucky to smell a finals - not saying he is not an all time great just sick of seeing him in the finals by default

"I think sports in general, no matter what city it is, something that's going through a city that's very dramatic, traumatizing or anything of that case, I think sports is one of the biggest healers in helping a city out," James said. :think2:
