Where isn't better.
The U.S. has poor air quality, dirty streets, high crime rate, insane gun violence, archaic anti gay laws and anti pot laws, poor safety net for the less fortunate, health care and medical coverage for the well off only, insane prescription costs, poor legal system except for the wealthy, can’t travel to 3/4 of the world because they hate you and lets face it there Americans The less knowledgeable they are the more loud and obnoxious they are. Plus there fat. NO THANKS

Always suspected but now confirmed that this was why you didn't like the US.

It is really not about leaving the country because we cant gamble. I dont belive anyone would leave just for that reason. It is about a whole string of BS pulled by the U.S. gov't. This is just the straw that breaks the camels back as they say. How far are we from the day that the gov't can come into your home and go through your property and arrest you just because they want to ? Believe it or not - They Can and DO. Its time to smell the coffee and realize we arent nearly as free as we have been told.

Max,

You have to admit whether you are gay or not that our stupid anti gay laws are BS. Why should we care if 2 men want to get married or be lovers ? It doesnt bother or affect me. It is kind of like the gambling issue. If they are 2 grown adults let them do what they please. They arent hurting anyone else.

Why should people be required to wear seat belts in a car? It is only them putting themselves at risk. Why should their be laws?

I just love how Grantt hits up every stereotype know to the world about the US. Whatever, but for your information Grantt the crime rate and air pollution are worse in much of Europe than in the US, save for maybe the 5 biggest cities. The crime rate in most suburbs would be the envy of much of the world, but if you watch TV, especially foreign media, you wouldn't ever know this now would you? And Bahamas, are you kidding me? Whenever they shop the go to Miami, whenever they have a child to educate they try to find a US school. Have you been to the Bahamas? Yeah maybe the air is cleaner, but the cost of living is higher, the quality of life is lower, and most people are lucky to make half what they do in the US. You must be kidding me with some of these countries Grantt...

Taking time off from fixing the line service to do some more important stuff like some more bashing I see. Some people just have too much time on their hands.

You seemed offended by the manner in which I develop code line service. Truth be told - I'm actually at my 9-5 (ok, I'm a lazy fuk it's 10-6 for me) & working on the lines when I'm not busy here - and in between all I throw in a post or two

All in the name of Multi-tasking.

I'm sorry that efficiency also offends you

Igetp2s,

We shouldnt be required to wear seatbelts. The cops are now wasting time looking to see if we have a seatbelt on. However bike riders are not required to wear helmets ? The common sense of our lawmakers is seriously lacking.

Obviously we need some laws to protect us from each other. We dont need laws to protect us from ourselves.

Danny, I thought bike riders are required to wear helmets.

The reason I believe that they feel the need to protect us from ourselves is because of the cost to society, not the harm done to the individual. Even though the primary person who is hurt when not wearing a seatbelt is the person in the car, that doesnt mean that the rest of us are not affected at all, especially econmically.

People who physically or mentally harm themselves are a cost to all of us. That might be the rational of these types of laws, including the gambling bill.
