Conan, where did it go?? Was it ALL Chip?
Of course Oregon's surge in recent years can be directly attributed to bringing Chip Kelly out west.
However someone screwed the pooch when Scott Frost was passed by in favor of Mark Helfrich
when Kelly moved on to the NFL. I'm also a little confused about the promotion/demotion of Don
Pellum as their DC last year. What I don't understand about it is how the f**k did one of the west
coast's best recruiters end up with such a shitty cast of defensive linemen... an embarrassment of
talentless losers. It's going to take a while to unravel the mess that Oregon finds itself in.

Probably the biggest of all gaffs committed by Oregon's brain-trust was passing on Chris Peterson
for Mark Helfrich. Peterson had previously coached for the Ducks and regularly whupped them when
he was Boise's HC. It was blunder of historical proportions and will more than likely take years to
get over. There aren't very many coaches in the game that can take on Chris Peterson and come
out on top.

F*ing Washington scored big. Maybe Mike MacIntyre has it in him but the chance that he will
jump ship and switch from Colorado to Eugene is likely extremely expensive (contractually.)
Chris Peterson is known for teams that are damn near without flaw. But so is MacIntyre.

I think there is a very good chance that what we are looking at nowadays is the origin of a new
Pac-12 hierarchy.

I thought I'd show you guys a little bit of Pac-12 history.
The play below is known as "The Pick." It was the play that
touched off real hatred between UDub and Oregon in 1994.
The annual rivalry game hasn't been the same ever since.

Conan i wonder if Vegas has finally caught up to those Buffaloes? After all they are 5-0 ATS, I gave them a 5 point boost in my number last week but still coming up short to the line. I will be rooting for them to get it done against So Cal, but not sure I can play it. I do like how you ride a team week after week, I always seem to second guess that they could not possibly cover again and yet they do.

Conan,

been reading your insights for years and want nd want to say thank you for your time and efforts. Any thoughts or opinions on Stanford this weekend? Seems like a short number for them at home.

The girl wearing the red T-shirt near the end is pretty hot.

The Buffs are currently ranked #21
I think we haven't seen the full story from them yet.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them win straight up at USC.
Adoree Jackson is a one-man wrecking crew. That's not enough.

I think so too...

BUT

What we saw Washington do to them last week... was that just about
the Huskies or was some of that about Stanford? They depend heavily
on their CB's to hold things down in man coverage thus freeing up their
safeties to get in on running plays. Both of Stanford's CBs were out last
week and I haven't heard different this week... (yet) Meanwhile, WSU
RAN all over the Beavers. How about that for an air raid passing offense?

I do expect to see Christian McCaffrey return to form against the Cougar
defense...

BUT

WSU has a way of giving the trees an unexpectedly tough time when
everyone else has had their asses whupped by Stanford. OK they're
home this time but I don't see much excitement in Stanford Stadium...
ever. It's probably the quietest venue in all of CFB. They consume too
much wine and cheese up there. Not enough beer.

I think it could be a coin flip with Stanford laying 7.
A 55% chance Stanford covers... not good enough.

It's great to see the Buffs ranked, first time since 2005 I believe. You what's maybe helped Colorado fly under the radar just a bit is that if you don't have the Pac-12 Network, then you rarely get to see them play. I have DirecTv and live in local Denver market and have only seen the Buffs play on TV, one time this year, the CSU game. I think when the Buffs first joined the Pac, they were so bad the games would basically be over after the first quarter which made for poor TV ratings. The folks around here will talk about the Broncos until the cows come home, but when it comes to college football it's mostly crickets chirping.

I say screw DirecTV. I was a subscriber since about 1990 through 2014.
It used to cost $15/mo. I remember that distinctly. Now you are very
lucky to spend less than $100/mo. (or more) For all they are worth in
comparison to other providers, they should pay you NOT to offer Pac-12.
You can get Dishnetwork for $39/mo. for 2 years. An extra $20 and you
get a DVR, HD receiver and a bunch more channels... Pac-12 included.

In the mean time, just click on this link and watch any CFB game you want.
You might have to reload the page a few times after you select the channel
link until the game window is black. It won't work if it's white. Then just find
the full screen icon in the lower right and enjoy the game. Don't worry if you
get nothing when you test it out. The games won't work until just before they
start.

PS... Don't fall for any ads or warnings about your computer's software.
No need to subscribe to anything either. I never do. Just watch out for extra
windows and close them. You can enable popup blockers too if you wish.

If you use these sites it's best to have Flash uninstalled since this is where majority of viruses come from. Flash isn't even needed anymore and most sites don't even use it anymore.

I'll be down in Eugene for game if anyone wants to meet up after the game for a Beer.

I use flash with no problems, but I won't download it from anywhere but Adobe.
If adobe.com isn't on your browser's address line, GTF outta there. You should
also beware of these Microsoft and/or Firefox "mandatory update" notifications.
They are also just a bunch of crap. Close the window and move on.

It's not Flash that is the issue it's the Flash banner ads that are the issue, anyone can hack these banners and install a virus, with no flash you can't get the virus that.s installed in the banner ad. Like I said very few websites use Flash anymore so no need to have it on your PC anymore. Also good idea to have a AdBlocker installed on your browser.

It's probably worth doubling down @ 6½. USC always attracts money from their deep pocket alums.
But the Trojans are not what people think they are. Even with Darnold at QB they need a lot more
cooking time in the oven. I'm not sure that would even help them much the way people think it will
because Clay Helton isn't the coach of their future.
