how much did you lose betting on FL, you were hyping them up big time in the "i dont care what the number is thread" my biggest play of the week was on the vols.

But im not here to say I LOVE FLORIDA or I LOVE the VOLS, im here to put cash in my pocket and buy momma a new pair of shoes.

First of all, I definitely lost money on this game. And I am certainly pissed about that.

However, if there is some silver lining to it, I would have to say that Monte Kiffin exploited UF and showed the country how to slow down/stop their offense. This game also showed how much UF misses Harvin. UF can be beaten for certain. I just don't know by who.

41 rushes, 231 yards (when you take away the sacks)
8 of 13 on third down conversions
1 of 1 on fourth down conversions
5 of 6 in red zone scoring
1 punt

Tennessee has one of the 4 best defenses FL will see all year. Can FL be beaten? Absolutely. Tennessee had two very well earned turnovers, but let's not pretend like they stopped FL.

Like I pointed out in a previous thread, "Florida a 4 touchdown plus favorite in a bitter SEC rivalry like this one";
who is kidding the troopes other than the oddsmakers who said so? What a joke and bettors fall for it. I cheer for the gstors now and then and still [took the points]; all 31 of them.

how much did you win on the Florida "foot-fucking" as you described it?

Had UF -28 for 1 unit and the under 51 for 3 units. So, I won 1.9 units.

HAHAHHAHAHHAHA.....your team managed 13 points and UF GAVE you the ball at the 20 yard line once.

Your team is 1-2 and will not have a winning record this year.

CONGRATS!!!

while ill agree the game wasnt as close as the score , itd be hard to convince the florida players and coaches of that. they expected a dominating 30,40,50 pt victory and instead had to fight till the end.

so Meyer says some had the flu..its all comical really, some of you guys get waaayy too emotional about it

Urban Meyer wanted to drop at least 50 on them and couldn't do it. So did Tebow. Timmy looked like the devil on the sideline yelling at his players (Would Jesus do that?). This is the same Urban Meyer that kicked a FG late in the game last year to cover the spread against Miami despite the fact the game was already over. I am no Vols fan, but I give the Vols their props. They went on the road against the #1 team and hung around. As far as Kiffin calling a simple gameplan I would too with Crompton at QB. This guy helped get Fulmer fired.

Maybe I should have worded my post a little differently. I wasn't stating that UT shutdown UF's offense. But rather, UT showed a blueprint, more or less, as to what it takes to beat them. Sure, UT was the beneficiary of some turnovers, but turnovers are a part of football. UF was expecting to hang 50 or 60 on UT, as was I along with a lot of other people. Simply stated, this game proved that UF is not invincible.

6 new Gator players miss practice including starting LB AJ Jones.

I think it's funny Kiffin is acting like we are making an excuse. What excuse does the winning team have to make? We won, even if the Vols want to put a W in their win column for their moral victory.

The truth is the Vols had the #3 overall defense last year...IN THE NATION. They also added Monte Kiffin and Ed Orgeron. So, how many teams would score "50-60" points on a defense that good and that well coached? Not many, if any.

Did you watch the game? Florida was conservative as hell due to Thompson out Riley Cooper suffering from a pinched nerve in his leg. Once those 2 guys are out there is zero deep threat. UF was very conservative and ran the ball a ton.

a couple injuries? the vols rely on a bunch of true freshman and have been together as a team and staff for 3 games, the gators for 4 yrs.

the vols kicked off or ran off 10+ players in the spring , remember your own comments about Lennon Creer leaving? tell me now what you think of the Vol RB's

Saying that Kiffin was playing not to get blown out is fukn absurd. What part of making a gameplan around your teams strengths do people not understand? What is TN strengths? Their defense and run the ball.

With this in mind, what happened when TN came out in (what was it the first part of the 3rd) and Cropmton threw downfield and guess what? INT. What happened when Crompton was forced to throw towards the end of the game? INT.

So he played the only way he could giving the QB situation. Hell, he might as well put the damn punter back there as I don't know if it would be much worse.

Also he tried to throw it in the endzone and what happend? The damn wr ran out of bounds and Cropmton did some more of his dumb shit.

Tennessee fans seems to be pretty annoying in general these days

qft

If moral victories counted, Kiffen would be in the National Championship game every year.

Hey coach!
Play to win the game, not to lose but be competetive.

Really where did you post those bets? I missed them. I have no loyalty to TN you were the homer screaming how FL was going to cover no matter what the points were.
