Week 12: Back in the Black

Small:

UConn +10 Houston in a terrible spot here after 2 tough games, barely winning, and now goes on the road to play an inspired UConn team. UConn is off a bye, and this game is important toward their bowl eligibility. Houston will just want to win, and survive this road trip in cooler weather. Uconn plays pretty good defense, has a dual threat QB that is not all that great as a passer, but has the ability to run for 90-100 yards. He had 100 yards vs. USF and 90 vs. Cinn. Houston plays Navy next week in a pivotal game, and will want to stay healthy. Back door cover also possible.

Medium Play: S. Miss -12.5 1H S. Miss is a very good first half team is brimming with confidence right now. They are at home vs. an ODU team that squeaks by the doormats, but usually gets hammered vs. better competition. S. Miss is excelling on both sides of the ball, and offensively are so good at the run and the pass, that ODU will have a hard time game planning. ODU is also missing their leading rusher and is extremely banged up(16 out and 33 injured). S. Miss might rest players in the 2nd half so I'm dubious about the 21.5 game bet.

Alabama/ Charleston Southern- under 50 This line doesn't seem right. Alabama is favored by 38 and it is unlikely that CS scores even against Bama's 2nd stringers. Alabama goes total vanilla and their #1 priority is to NOT get injuries vs. freaking Charleston Southern. CS is a decent FCS team so Alabama won't likely score at will. 31-0? 38-0? Pick your under 50 score.

How did I miss this? Small, but not too small:

Navy/ Tulsa- over 66 Wind should die down for this evening game. Under the lights, fast field, Tulsa playing absolutely no defense. If you saw Air Force steamroller Boise, well Navy's offense does it even better. Tulsa's offense should get some scores, and since they pass so often, lots of clock stoppage. Tulsa has injuries in the run game, but have the 14th ranked passing offense. At home, they'll play this to win…and that means outscoring an unstoppable Navy offense.
