Both starting pitchers this year have been allowing more homeruns per 9 innings and striking out less batters per 9 innings. Both teams have hit the ball pretty well since the all-star break as well. I don’t trust either of these two starters this year and I believe at least one of them will get rocked early and often. Look for a high scoring game. Take the Over.

ANALYSIS: Never thought I would be saying this but I think the line for this Matt Harvey Jameson Taillon matchup is a little high. Both of these pitchers have been on fire lately, and while I could see one team winning 6-1 or 7-1, I don’t think both starters will struggle. Neither bullpen should have to pitch more than four innings and both these lineups are very capable of being shut down. Take the under.

ANALYSIS: This game should be much closer to 50-50 with the Red Sox on their longest losing streak of the season. The Tigers play well at home and they have been hitting lefties well the past month or two. Casey Mize wont pitch deep into the game but the Tigers are really good at putting up runs late in games. Take the value in the Tigers at home.

ANALYSIS: Zach Thompson has been very good this season with a 2.33 ERA while Carlos Carrassco allowed one run in four innings in his first start back from the IL. The Mets have looked lost recently and they are much worse on the road at 22-31. The Marlins are much better at home and they have been scoring recently despite trading away key players. This line should be much closer to 50-50, take the Marlins.

With a surging Lucas Giolito on the hill Wednesday for Chicago, expect more of the same. Kansas City was held to a lone run in the seventh inning of a 7-1 loss Tuesday. The Royals are 0-6 OU (-3.08 ppg) since July 18 after they scored in at most two separate innings in their previous game.
