400♦ LOS ANGELES DODGERS RUN LINE (LIST Billingsley and Detwiler) - Chad Billingsley hasn’t won in a month, and the struggling righty desperately needs to get back on track if the Dodgers plan on contending with some of the deeper rotations in the National League. Billingsley has failed to last more than six innings in any of his last 11 starts, and is 0-4 with a 5.97 ERA in six outings since beating St. Louis on Aug. 18. So why go with him and the Dodgers tonight … the due theory, quite frankly. At some point he has to shake this funk, and this is the perfect spot to expect such a thing.

The Dodgers are in after yesterday’s 14-2 shellacking of these same Nationals, their magic number to clinch a wild-card berth at the very least is down to two games and they can secure their playoff berth with a win and losses by San Francisco and Atlanta tonight. Thus, there’s no reason to believe Billingsley won’t turn it around against this lethargic lineup, while he gets plenty of run support along the way. Joe Torre’s boys have scored at least six runs in six of their last 10 games, while they’ve won eight of those games.

And besides, I’d rather side with Billingsley than Ross Detwiler, who is 0-6 with a 5.80 ERA on the year. Most recently, he’s 0-2 in his last three starts (the Nats are 0-3 in those games) with an 8.76 ERA to go along with it. This is a bad Nationals team that is about to endure their second-straight 100-loss season with this loss tonight. The Dodgers have won seven of their last nine on the highway while the Nationals are mired in a 3-11 slide at home. Also, the Dodgers have won 13 of the past 18 meetings. Lay the run line as it all comes together for Billingsley tonight

He claimed he was 4-0-1 before last night, i remember him losing 2 maybe 3 75 dimers within the last five months. Just wish he would be honest. His big plays hit about 50 percent of the time, not as high as he says he does. There are much worse Handicappers than Davis out there but be careful when he puts out a 75 or 100 play...d1g1t

it has nothing to do with getting busy. i was in an ongoing thread with five other people (here) trying to contribute to buying plays, and they could all "talk" back and forth. meanwhile i could not get my posts to appear for 37 minutes while they had multiple posts/responses to each other during that time.

that's my question - WHY ARE MY POSTS BEING HELD?

i e-mailed the webmaster. i posted here yesterday. no one will give me an answer.

4 Unit Play. Take Over 176.5 between the Phoenix Mercury @ LA Sparks (Wednesday @ 10pm est). Sometimes it is not a good idea for a team to defeat another team just prior to the playoffs. Such is the case as these two heavyweights meet each other in the final four of the wnba playoffs. With that in mind, I expect Phoenix to have some revenge today. Keep in mind that they also lost the first game of the series to San Antonio earlier in these playoffs so they will look to not start off in a big hole. The road team has won outright and covered the spread the last three times these two teams have hooked up and I believe that will likely be the case in the playoffs for covering the spread. But rather than go against the Sparks here, I like taking the over with Phoenix as the active dog. The Over is 16-5 for the Mercury the last 21 ballgames and the Over is 2-0 this year when Phoenix has played LA in Staples.
4 Unit Play. Take Under 146.5 between the Indiana Fever @ Detroit Shock (Wednesday @ 8pm est). These two teams are defensive by nature. Notice the last game in Detroit between these two teams the game totaled at 133 - and that was with overtime. I don't believe that was a fluke by any nature. I sincerely believe that these two teams are defensive mind-framed squads. The Under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams. And, given that this is the stepping stone to the WNBA Championships, I like a defensive effort out of the game for both of these teams. I normally would have a much longer write-up, but indeed I believe the principle is that simple today. I expect a quality effort from both teams, the total is slowly starting to drop and I like this game to be a defensive contest similar to the last game these to two teams played in the Palace.

They (LA/Phoenix) are not playing in the Staples Center. The game is at Pauley Pavilion. The game could go over but it is on a court where they are not used to playing. LA did win at Phoenix in the last week of the season but Taurasi did not play.
