Codeworks - How about religion and SEX? Now that's another good combination you can conquer.

Or better yet how about Jesus Christ and his SEXual habits? There is another one you can bide your time with.

Or how about ANAL SEX..who does it more the Liberals or Conservatives?

Or EVEN better..are HOMOSEXUALS Liberal or Conservative?

I'm sure guys like RadioFreeCostaRice and GRANTT have all the answers to the above.

I'm sure you can find the TRUE answers for all the above by asking these great political minds down here. They'll help you figure it out I'm sure!

And why you're at it PLEASE give me your recipe for correctly blending OIL and WATER as I need it for a BIG project I am working on.

Lib or Con?
I don't feel that I should classify Jesus as either. But I can say this: Christians are conservatives because they still see the clear line between right and wrong. Liberals try to re-write the definitions of right and wrong to suit their needs. Also, I'm pretty sure that most Christian ministers will tell you that they support capital punishment, not as a method of revenge or even punishment, but as a statement of the value that we place on human life. Steal from the poor and give to the rich??????? Christian churches believe in helping those who can't help themselves (widows, children, etc), but not those who refuse to help themselves.
Again, I'm not stating what Jesus' views are. I'm just passing along the views from Christian ministers whose views are derived from a lifetime of bible study and prayer. So Christ may not be a conservative, but Christians sure are. That's why they call us the Religious Right. Because we are right.
Now fire away.

I'm sorta thinking like chonce....

I really don't see all this extreme pigeonholing where people or gods are cut and dried definite conservative or definite liberal...

Like there are only two choices of behavior on this planet, and everyone MUST fit into one of the two groups, and there are no shades or leans inbetween the two?.....everything is either black or white, with no shades inbetween and no mixing of the primary colors to create other colors????

My guess would be that Jesus would have been more towards the liberal side on just about everything except abortion.

With his philosophy of turn the other cheek, he clearly would not have supported the death penality.

He was concerned with the welfare of his fellow man.
As opposed to typical U.S. conserv attitude of concern for my fellow economically successful man.

He was not particularily concerned with material possesions.

Someone here tried to assert the absurd claim that christian conservatives have a clearly defined line between right and wrong while christians tend to be one of the most hypocritical corrupt bunches you can run into. Either way I think Jesus was more concerned with love thy neighbor and forgiveness than the judgemental ways of many supposed christians.

The truth of the matter is that this is really kind of a silly debate. Conservative and liberal are really nothing more than politcal labels that are applied to different values in different countries at this point.

Conservative merely means conserving tradtional party values, but that can be applied to any party.

Liberalism comes from a Bristish philosophy that emphasized christian values.

As I recall, Jesus chased the money changers from the Temple. No telling what he'd do to swaggart, bakker, oral roberts, pat robertson and jimmy swaggart, the pillars of the religious right. Who's the nut job reverend from California I left out?

Jesus was without a doubt conservative. According to Matthew he was an aristocrat descended from King David via King Solomon. The family business was probably building as they did not know about oil back them. Calling him a simple carpenter is like calling Schwab an ironworker after he founded Bethlehem Steel.
