I'm not reading Political threads in there, but This WAS a massive victory for the R's, and they should gloat, and it is fair to put an appreciable amount of that on Obama. When Obama completed his transformation to War Mongering Liar, he lost any chance at getting some fight back by the Dem electorate this year. The reality is nothing is going to change from the last 2 years of stagnation and obstruction, since they can't get to over 60 in the Senate. I just hope the Markets keep going up.

It was a good night for repubs but you gotta look at the number of seats that dems had to defend as opposed to repubs. This is a cycle...and you saw the same thing happen the other way in 2006. In a typical election during an 8 year term, the seat gain is typically 6 seats. Repubs right now have 7...it is way more the situation than who they president is. If obama ran tomorrow, he would still defeat any current repub candidate.
