The funny thing is people have this idiotic stereotype of everyone who shops at Walmart. Look at the Walmart's in good neighborhoods & then watch where the people who shop there live. You would be quite surprised how many well off people actually shop there. They don't see anything wrong with saving money which is makes perfect sense.

No, only about 90-95% of regular WalMart shoppers are dregs of the earth types. I actually have spotted normal people (seemingly) in WalMarts and they weren't smiling.

BTW, these 2 times I was in WM this year I saw a recurring thing that turns my stomach: Mothers dragging their little babies around by one arm and swinging them like ragdolls. This should be a felony and I fault myself for not calling DSS on the spot! Funny the 2 times I see this in past year it is at WalMart? Not coincidental, just par for the course.

And like other poster it bothers me just to be in friggin parking lot but a few times Ive done it to see what creatures go in and out of store -- freak show!

And WalMart is not the only place to save money btw, shop around elsewhere and spit in the eye of the evil empire.

I know it is not the only place. However the times I have shopped in a Walmart, I did so in a nice neighborhood with quality shoppers. I can't recall ever seeing the lower class ghetto people acting themselves in the store. The one other Walmart I went to was in Middletown, NY as far as Orange County locations go. I found that one to be lower class with a mix of ghetto people with more civilized people.

The new one in Commack is ok, good for Wal-Mart. The one in Centereach is disgusting, that's where a woman was arrested for smokin' crystal meth in the store while her baby was in the shopping cart. White trash central.

Here's another story involving Wal-Mart and Long Island's finest citizens (from approx. 1 1/2 years ago). I've been to this store once before, an absolute freak show.

Metro Briefing | New York: Centereach: Mother Charged With Snorting Heroin Near Her Son

A woman was arrested at a Wal-Mart store on Saturday after she was caught snorting heroin while pushing her 3-year-old son in a shopping cart, the Suffolk County police said. The woman, Stacy Roe, 35, of Farmingville, was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was seen on surveillance video snorting a substance through a straw while pushing the cart inside the store at 6:10 p.m., the police said. When the police confronted her, she admitted she had just snorted heroin and said she had a bag of the substance in her wallet, the police said. The woman told officers she was shopping for a toy train for her son, the police said. The child was removed and placed in the custody of his father, and the case was referred to Child Protective Services, the police said. Ms. Roe was ordered to be in court on July 17. Ironically enough, she has a court appearance date on Wednesday (yes, I searched the public court dockets). Turns out she pled guilty and is going to receive one year probation. IMO, unbelievable.
