A Walmart worker was trampled to death in a Long Island Walmart on the morning of Black Friday - and a pregnant woman suffered a miscarriage after hundreds of deal-seeking people rushed the doors of the retail store.
The pregnant woman was found knocked over before being transferred to a local hospital. According to a news report, paramedics said the woman suffered a miscarriage.

Long Island has very wealthy areas, very crime-ridden poor areas, working class areas, upper middle class areas and everything in between.

Valley Stream's movie theater is known for having a shooting every so often.

Betallsports--Where are you from again? Dix Hills? I know I've asked you this before. Me--Northport. Our "crime belt" here in Western Suffolk would be Wyndanch, Brentwood, Central Islip and don't forget Huntington Station.

I live a couple of miles away and there have been shootings in this complex before. They have metal detectors at the multiplex a few hundred feet away. I go there fairly often and have shopped in that walmart before.

Most of the affluent people in the area trek out to Roosevelt Field Mall which is much nicer and safer.

Yep, Right on the money. Roosevelt Field Mall is the place to go.
The place is like a City of it's own.

Also, the Most Famous of the shootings at multiplex is Years ago when
one of the Godfather Movies were playing. I think it was Christmas Day

I think the first shooting was when i was about 16 or so (18 years ago). That's when all the whites/jews stopped going to that theater.

The surrounding area is actually very nice and the mall was recently upgraded and is much nicer, but you can't upgrade the clientele.

wow wat a joke...yea the store is at fault for not setting up lines and shit and keeping order...but cant the fuckin people control themselves and act like human beings...i mean jesus christ these people need to have there hands held while there shopping?? this musta been in brooklyn or detroit or something...if thats the case then im not to surprised i guess...

If it was Godfather III, then Francis Ford Coppola should have been shot for that piece of sh!t movie.

There are 4 exits off the Meadowbrook Pkwy that can be used for Roosevelt Field Mall, that's how big it is.

The area this Wal-Mart is located in has gone downhill. I am part Black but I have to call it like I see it. Many low class African-Americans hang out around the area & turned that mall into ghetto central. I am not surprised this happened at that location.

I don't care for the Wal-Mart's in Long Island. The best one is the super center in Monroe, NY. The few times I went to a Wal-Mart out here, I went to the one in Islandia & the newer one in Commack.
