You keep calling me a condition gambler? You know nothing about me, the games I play, or how i play them. How am I a conditioned gambler?

I simply said PERIOD-- I wouldnt play the game. There are other games I know where I know the teams/conditions/etc better that I prefer to bet my money on. There are way too many unknowns for ME to play the game.

Again I dont play an ENTIRE BOARD of games like you do.

I dont get it... how does NOT betting a game I dont know enough information about make me a conditioned bettor?

Youve admitted (more or less) that you've lost money because you couldnt find out the information you claim caused you to lose.
Nothing wrong about not playing any games. But you made conditioned gambler beliefs and comments.
Tell me the list of unknowns??? Dont avoid the question.

unknowns to me:

The human element to it all:

Did the air just leave clevelands balloon because they are now eliminated.... (The cincy win was a shocker to most)
Does cleveland now play the game a little different strategy wise b/c win or lose it doesnt matter as much
Does big bens last game get a little bit of an emotional edge, does it get his teammates playing a little harder
Does the game get called a little different because its his last game (go out with a bang so to speak)
Does the game get reffed a litte different due to it all (does the nfl needs Pitt to win now to keep them alive, more meaninful games next week)

I dont believe in trends much either-- but i do believe that a team has anothers teams number. I do believe that a bad hitter has a good pitchers number.

I do think you've got to give credit to tomlin for ALWAYS getting his team to show up on MNF. Its a different work week when playing on MNF.

I also agree with a lot of the things youve mentioned about the game (more than normal). I'm not sure why the line moved that much. It raises flags.

All ^^^^^ and the NFL being very much an "Any Given Sunday" type league where the margin of winning and losing is smaller than ANY other sport..... AND the fact that there will ALWAYS be another game and i'm not FORCED to play an entire board of games (like some here do)

I'll be laying off.

But again thats just the conditioned gambler talking....

As far as the games tonight: Wouldnt bet it with your money. Have no clue why anyone would. Too many unknowns. If you bet tonights game you are just an action junkie OR you know something no one else knows. Bens last game, Pitt hasnt lost at home on MNF since 1991, Clev is 1-9 ATS against divsion opponents. Does cleveland even care. Although cleveland looks like the better team. Even the most arrogant of cappers can say this one is a tough one.
FWIW Monday night means shit.
Here is who Pittsburgh is THIS YEAR WITH these players at home! 3-5ATS.

Lost to Detroit, Chicago, Las Vegas, Cincy, Seattle. That is more relevant than no losses on Monday night/ Only the spread wins count. or ML.

To you monday night means shit

its a different work week playing on MNF football....

If you owned a company and you worked Monday-Friday and then ONE week you decided you were going to work Tuesday-Sunday.... would you get the same production?

Again its not the ONLY factor, but to me it is A FACTOR. Big difference.

And again in the NFL the margin for winning and losing is so small.

The red flag isnt red for Vegas.
They're still taking action. They already gave up 3 points to Pittsburgh all week and then last night they are now giving 3 to Cleveland.
In BOTH circumstances with both lines, the public still bet Pittsburgh all week as a dog and tonight they are still on Pittsburgh as a favorite.. They will win both sides of this bet with Cleveland winning by 4 or more. It will happen.

That analogy says it all.
Nothing changed from last week to Monday unless players were removed. "Work Week" What?

Work week?

NFL players dont work? Are you kidding me?

They get days off, they have practice days, they have a routine. Its very much a different work week when you play on MNF as oppose to a regular sunday.

Again best of luck. I again DO NOT HAVE A PLAY

However-- sounds a lot like the time you ran around telling everyone how a game wouldnt land inside 3 and it did.

This is like that Star Trek when two alien enemies fought, both half white and half black, but one was white on the left side and the other was white on the right side.

I didnt take at a bad number at all. Its a great number. Even greater new with +3. I also bet the ML last week at 155.
I know this, - If they would have still had the chance for the playoffs and Cincy would have lost yesterday the line would have inflated went t up to 4.5 or 5+. And pittsburgh would have been eliminated with the Cincy loss because they beat Pitt both times this year badly. Just like Cleveland beat Cincy badly and would have next week. All because they re healthy now for this game and would be for next week.

You got a terrible number at -3 and the ML you took. To even act like or argue that you got a great number is beyond stupid.

and again--- another reason why I'm not betting it--- Hunt/Wilson both ruled out---- guessing had they been in the playoff hunt, they both end up playing tonight.

Again small things matter in the NFL.

God i just re-read this thread.....

G-Man and his comments about this game. About conditioned gamblers. About how vegas trains us to bet.... about how he got a great line....

About how HE KNEW Cleveland would win. Knew it was happening.

Cleveland never had the lead let alone the cover.

This is a losing player whose trying hard to convince himself hes a winner. I've come across a few in my time, but this guy is top 3. This thread should be pinned!

I don't think the lines are made based on public opinion, they might be adjusted slightly based on public bias

The lines certainly move based on actual action

Why is Vegas Vegas? It's the

VIG
parlays
Props
Teasers
Chasing
Stupid decisions
Scared money

They can't lose long run.

He just suffers from that gambler's disease called "SELECTIVE MEMORY".

an ability to remember some facts while apparently forgetting others, esp when they are inconvenient.

I just hope he comes in here and drops some more knowledge on how vegas works for us. Lets us know more about the games he KNOWS will win.

About some of those "special" things that only he understands about how the line is made.

About his 5 decades of facts and winning--- and how all the rest of us are CONDITIONED gamblers.

This fool is down over 7k (100 bettor) I just re-checked the numbers this season on football bets. Yet he comes in here and acts like he knows it all. Someone else said it and its true--- he's an addicted gambler (proven by the way he bets every game) that is trying hard to convince himself that hes a winner by beating his chest loud and proud when he wins-- and ignoring facts and sweeping losses under the rug.

Come educate us more G-Man!!!
