It was about 7 weeks ago at Leroys, it was a 1/2 point card at Leroys and he didnt want to pay taxes so he and Leroys reached an agreement for cash pay with no tax notification. It was the week when lot of games landed on 3, and he did lot of 7 and 8 team parlays to skirt limits. He hit like 30 parlays at Leroys on the same day. I know he went around town hitting parlays, so I assume it is the same guy.

Krack - Sorry I missed you in Vegas, we could have gone over to the Olympic Garden and said hello to some of the girls on my softball team

Railbird is correct. That did happen.I talked to a manager from Leroys and he asked me if they hit us at the book I work.I wasn't aware of any and asked him why.He said there was a group that went around town and played a bunch of parlays but for like five dollars each.He didn't say how many he hit but he said it amounted to almost 200,000.I believe he also said at 4 different locations can't remember them all but I know Key Largo was one of them. And I don't know what happened after that.If they paid full or who they were.I also don't know if they won at other locations or what.

Whats interesting to me is how this guy(if it is the same guy or group)is walking around hitting 8 and 10 team parlays like they are going out of style. Are you kidding me?I will follow him all over town and copy his parlays.I'll be happy with just one let them ban me.

Hmmmmm....

Let's see, these players are guilty of betting 8 or 10 team parlays on parlay cards and winning some of them.

True. Winning should not be allowed. What was I thinking?

Let's say the books won on these parlays, which they probably will 9.9 out of 10 times, are they going to complain?

No they won't. You know why I know? Because they haven't for years when my friend has been losing. He hits big one week and they cry foul after he's gone years of losing on these.

Poor, poor sports books. It's such a tough life. People win once in a while. Boy that's horrible. What do these people think they're doing cashing tickets? That's not allowed!

It is ridiculous that they would ban someone for winning big on a parlay card. Actually, I think the smart thing to do is just the opposite - raise the guy's limit! He can't keep winning like that forever. Keep the guy coming back and betting parlay cards big every week - they'll have their money back by the end of the season.

Nothing is Vegas but I remember playing poker in a teepee with 20 boring slots. They are actually pretty fancy places now. For a 99RT ticket I'd rather go to LV. Most Casino's employees still treat tourists like maggots but it's not as bad as it was in the 80's.

I am sorry, but I don't buy the Leroy's story. With books all over the state and already legal troubles with having to pay off a lawsuit, I just can't see this book doing a deal like that. It would be illegal and if it was fully documented they would stand a good chance of losing their Nevada gaming license. Not to mention the IRS would be taking them to court with criminal charges filed against management. If that truly was done, their would be a silence around that story like you wouldn't believe. Leroy's and their managers with all their troubles seems highly unlikely to even sniff at an idea like that. After all 75k is nothing compared to what they would lose from a loss of gaming license and fines from the IRS.

Bill,

Im pretty good at sniffing things out, and your right there is some silence to the story, but apparently not enough silence. LosAngelos area Poker managers are famous for skirting Irs forms, it goes on at a regular basis.
