I've been 20+ times and go every year for a work conventions. Sometimes twice a year

Only thing I like about it is the sportsbooks. I'll play a little roulette but other then that not big into table games. Don't have the time to play poker.

Everything is overpriced. It's way too fucking hot. At 32 I'm too old for the clubbing crap and have zero interest in it. I've done all the shows, Hoover damn, etc.

The most fun I ever had there was (1) for my 21st birthday and (2) the year my wife and I won a ton. All the other trips have largely been duds.

I try to stay away from your replies and threads I really do. And truth be told this last time you came back from your own ban you have gotten more tolerable and I've moved on. But that said...

You have been there 20+ times and from the post BAS linked to was from 2014 where you were asking basically for things to do in Vegas. And you said you haven't been back since you were 21. So from 2014 to 2017 you would have had to average going 5+ times a year, even though you then said in this thread you go once or twice a year for work. For someone that is a Vegas regular you shouldn't need to ask. And we all know if you ever made it to Vegas we would hear details galore on this board with probably some BS, but I digress.

What makes you really weird Cruise is why would someone lie about going to Vegas so often? It's not like you are lying about having a hot wife, making $500K a year, how much you wager, etc. You are lying about going to Vegas a lot? Just a really weird thing to lie about. I know we have a TON of people that are full of shit on this board, but they usually at least lie about something worth while. I mean no one cares how often you go to Vegas and to lie about it. Just really, really, really weird...

You are on this board a lot and when you hit a wager or make a prediction that comes true, you are here the second the game ends and bump it up. However when you get caught in a lie or make a wager on the front page like a player is out, bet the farm and he not only plays but has a monster game, you simply don't reply and you move on like it never happened and don't respond to that thread or any replies and start new random ones.

Keep on Keeping on JC!!!

I love it for about 4 days then I'm good for a year. Every local we meet says they never come to the strip unless they have to or for a special event. Live there? Probably not but I live in Nebraska and people ask me how I live here and I love it. Different strokes...
I'm into my 21st year living here and I can state unequivocally that's a fact. I have 4 casinos within 10 minutes of my house
that offer all the amenities that the strip casinos offer. And the comps are far superior to those on the strip.

Vegas is awesome, crazy expensive now but still a lot of fun none the less

Sin City

Of course, we all have to return to reality after being there for a few days, and constant gambling does get boring
If you're not into the glitz and glamour of the strip it's not crazy expensive. And yes constant gambling get old real fast
no matter if you're winning or losing. There are many local casinos that get the job done at less half the price.

sure is in the summer. but why go then ?
Duh! You don't want to be here June, July or August but for the other 9 months of the year
it's pretty fucking awesome. Sure beats 6 months of winter in some States.

Vegas never gets Old ... and I have been going since the early 80's ( not sure if that's as many as JC ) LOL

I have had short visits like just a weekend and the Longest was 13 Days. ** Which I would never do that long again
didn't get bored, but started giving back what I won.

A nice Vegas trip is 8 days , 7 Nights, I think the perfect trip should be 7 days , 6 Nights
so much to do there it should never get boring.

If I lived closer I would be there more often. But I could never Live there

Well said.. I feel the same.. more then 4 days in a row is alot for me but I'd go 2 times a year if I could..... The misses don't like Vegas as much ... Sadly

Dave007-

I will be in Vegas next week for March Madness.

Do you have any insight into the following casinos/sportsbooks: Sunset Station, Barley's Casino and Brewing, and Green Valley Ranch...

I'm typically all over Vegas when I visit (usually twice a year, March Madness and Breeders Cup), including the Strip and and downtown. This will be my first stay in the Henderson area.

Looking forward to walking Sunset Park and Whitney Mesa Trails in the morning. How are these trails?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I agree with all of this,as when i lived out there i was out near Texas Station,Fiesta,Arizona Charlies, and i don't know if this one is around(it was a regular bar but it was called the End ZONE)so they were mainly my regulars, but the one i always considered as my home local casino was Palace Station as i went there a lot and everyone of these casinos were great giving comps

Green Valley Ranch in high end, Sunset is medium (large sports book) Barley's is tiny.

Sunset park is large. It will take you awhile to walk around it (it's got a lake)
Don't know anything about Whitney Mesa Trails in fact this is the first time I've
heard of it.

Next to Green Valley Ranch is "The District" shops, restaurants, bars etc. Across from Sunset
is the Galleria Mall. It's huge. There's a Famous Dave's there. Up the street from
Barley's is a Joe's Crap Shack. I recommend Hank's in Green Valley Ranch for a steak.
I don't recommend any restaurants in Sunset.

Hope this helps and enjoy your stay.

Thanks for the info, Dave007.

Glad to hear about the Famous Dave's. This will be a meal stop if I can pull myself away from Twin Peaks for long enough lol...
