Haven't been since I was 21. I assume a lot has changed in 7 years.

Looking for recommendations for shows and restaurants.

Thanks in advance.

Can't imagine living there. Aren't the school systems the worst in the country?

I haven't been to Vegas since the early 90's. Really like the place during the mid 70's and 80's.
Just to much more convenient to go to Biloxi (love the place) or easy drive to Tunica (not so much
love) but an easy drive to the crap tables.

Hoping I'll visit Vegas one more time...maybe during the national finals rodeo week or so.

50. Nevada

> High school graduation rate: 73.6% (2nd lowest)
> Public school spending: $8,801 per pupil (5th lowest)
> 8th grade NAEP proficiency: 26.1% (math) 27.4% (reading)
> Adults with at least a bachelor’s degree: 23.5% (6th lowest)
> Adults 25-64 with incomes at or above national median: 44.6% (7th lowest)

Children brought up speaking a language other than English often struggle academically in U.S., english-speaking classrooms. In Nevada, only 73.8% of children are raised by parents who speak fluent English, one of the smallest shares of any state. Integrating ESL students requires additional funding, and Nevada appears to be falling short.

The state spends only 2.8% of its taxable resources on schools, well below the 3.3% average across all states. The small share of state expenses the state spends on education translates to a low monetary funding of only $8,801 per student per year, which is about $3,700 less than is typical nationwide.

The low funding in conjunction with poor academic outcomes make Nevada’s school system the worst of any state. Only 73.6% of high school students in the state graduate on time, the second-lowest graduation rate after New Mexico.

That's what I've heard. Terrible. Not sure why anyone would live there unless a poker pro or casino exec

Vegas was great in the 70's and 80's because it was still run by the mob. Everything was dirt cheap and they treated you a whole lot better, too. Now that it's been corporatized it's the exact opposite. I used to go several times a year back then.

The weather? It's miserably hot

Vegas never gets Old ... and I have been going since the early 80's ( not sure if that's as many as JC ) LOL

I have had short visits like just a weekend and the Longest was 13 Days. ** Which I would never do that long again
didn't get bored, but started giving back what I won.

A nice Vegas trip is 8 days , 7 Nights, I think the perfect trip should be 7 days , 6 Nights
so much to do there it should never get boring.

If I lived closer I would be there more often. But I could never Live there
