1.5* grizz under 90 -105

the grizzlies are going to be really bad for a couple of weeks. a very very very young line up (maybe 4 years of experience in the nba combined?) and a new coach and their first game is against one of the best defensive teams in the league?

if it were not so early in the year this would be 3 units... the rockets routinely held opponents to 70 points in Houston last year and Marc Gasol and Hakim Warrick down low is not exactly scary when it comes to establishing an inside out game.

damn i wanna go big on this but i know better early on.

just some random thoughts... i like the hawks under 97.5 but i am not willing to put too much money out there tonight especially considering the plethora of opportunities that will be available via second half wagers...

every bone in my body says to bet the knicks tonight... home court with the better coaching but without the superior talent i am thinking it will be best to either lay off or hope for a good number at the half.

hornets under 106.5 is very tempting... first game of the year and on the road and you can get it even or better right now. later in the year something like this will be a one unit play while the plays i have already made would be weighted a little heavier.

i am off to look at the player props for the night.

the cheap price on this in addition to the finger ailment is enough to tempt me into a play. baron is coming from a team loaded with offensive talent to a team with very little. this may mean more points but it may come at a cost of less assists. regardless i expect this to come in regardless of how many minutes he plays.

this should be 2 units but i am slowing down. the rockets are one of the top defensive teams in the league and while this mavs team will probably land as a 100 point per game team by the end of the year i expect them to struggle against good defensive teams with a new system being put into place.

i might play anyone but the lakers under 98 against this rockets team.
