I'm sure that's just GSP's call. Knows that Bisping probably isn't going to be champ forever. If he loses to him, then he still has other options.

If he loses to Woodley, not sure where he would go from there.

I know the Woodley fight was boring but what's he supposed to do? You tell him if he wins then he is fighting GSP @ MSG, tough for him to take unnecessary risks when he is cruising to a decision if you tell him that is next for him.

Yep...

And,don't blame it all on Woodley,Maia could've thrown more too. Woolley also defended every single takedown, and that's exactly what one is supposed to do against a high level grappler. Perfect execution of a game plan, and a high level display of wrestling.

I mean damn,I'd fight Maia on the feet too. No way in hell would I engage and take the dude down,he'd rip my arm off in no time...

I see Dana's point. It's a business and if people don't want to pay to see you fight, then we can't give you big money fights.

But a lot of his last 2 fights had to do with Thompson/Maia as well. Willing to give Woodley a pass until he is that tentative vs a more orthodox fighter, but Dana wasn't as forgiving.

I think Bisping beats GSP as long as it is on the up and up though. He's always had really good takedown defense and hits much harder than George.

Rumble told Helwani he would comeback and fight Bones for the right price. Sounds like he wants back in.

His performance vs DC was so bizarre that is hard to imagine. He does match up better with Bones than DC does though. More of a pathway to victory.

Rumble is still under contract with UFC and I'm almost 100% he returns ... IMO not smart to try Jones.

Why wouldn't it be smart to fight Jones? It's the only fight he could have that would make him any real money. Which is probably all he is after at this point in his career.

He probably would gas out or come with an awful gameplan or just be outclassed but it is always possible he lands a bomb.

Doesn't matter anyway ... Gustafsson would get first crack at Jones way before there would be any consideration Rumble getting the champ.

Paige VanZant vs. Jessica Eye flyweight bout booked for UFC 216

VanZant (7-3) hasn't competed since a submission loss to Michelle Waterson in the main event of UFC on FOX 23 this past December. The 23-year-old has alternated between wins and losses in her last four fights, with all of them coming at strawweight (115 pounds).

Eye (11-6) will be looking for her first win since November 2014 and try to snap a four-fight losing streak. The Ohio native was fighting at bantamweight (135 pounds) though and will be moving down to flyweight for the first time since June 2013 when she defeated Carina Damm at NAAFS: Fight Nite in the Flats 9.
