A slew of new fights have been scheduled for UFC Fight Night 116
The most high-profile matchup added to the event is a middleweight matchup between Krzysztof Jotko and Uriah Hall, which could serve as the co-main event.
Jotko (19-2) is coming off only the second loss of his pro career. At UFC 211 in May, Jotko welcomed former WSOF middleweight champ David Branch back to the Octagon and dropped a close decision defeat. Prior to that, he had been riding an impressive five-fight winning streak, which included notable victories over Thales Leites and Tamdan McCrory.
Hall (12-8) has lost three straight. Most recently, “Primetime” was finished by Gegard Mousasi in the first round. Prior to that, he suffered losses to Derek Brunson and current interim champ Robert Whittaker. Hall’s last win came in September 2015 and was an upset knockout in his first fight with Mousasi.
The other four fights announced for the card are: Kamaru Usman vs. Sergio Moraes, Justin Ledet vs. Dmitriy Sosnovskiy, Gilbert Burns vs. Jason Saggo, and Anthony Hamilton vs. Daniel Spitz.
The card’s main event, former champ Luke Rockhold vs. Branch at 185 pounds,
