Good deal for both sides

Only question with Hill is health, especially as he gets older. Will be 32 at end of deal

I like the deal for both teams....Miami had to make a big move and cash in some of their draft capital with Tua being in such a make or break year. If he sucks then having Hill/Waddle will make it easier to get another QB as well possibly (if the QB carousel somewhat continues)

Chiefs we'll have to see what they do going forward but Mahomes will be 27 this year, they aren't exactly all-in on the next year or two like say GB with Rodgers being almost 40. They get some good draft capital and WR's will wanna play with Mahomes. They may take a step back but you can't keep everyone over these long runs. Kelce is old too. It probably isn't the worst year to do somerthing like this for them.

Hill is legit but these 1 of 1 freak types can fade pretty fast once they lose their signature ability that makes them so unique...Little different than a route running savant like Adams

Chiefs will miss the playoffs in this tough division. They almost fell apart first half of the season with Hill, then somehow got it together in the second half and went on a run.

You think this is a great deal for KC?

I think a great deal for the Kansas City organization but not for Patrick Mahomes

Thats what happens when you have to pay Mahomes. The are gonna try to get younger receivers on the cheap

Agree.

I have texted with about 10 dolphins fans in the past 2 hours and we are all pretty excited. Mainly b/c if you have watched the dolphins play, they are boring A/F and now we have some excitement. Now we see if Tua can play or not

they "somehow got it together" because they're 1 of the best teams in the NFL...Most of their early season losses were about turnover variance besides the Bills/Titans beatdowns (1 of these was avenged in the playoffs)

I think getting a 1st/2nd over paying a WR 30M per that I'm not sure how much longer he has at an elite level is pretty good value overall. Even if they are a worse team in 2022, they may have been trending that way anyway. If you wanna have a sustained run, you're gonna have to make some deals like this and sell high on guys rather than pay everyone. Like I said, Mahomes is only 27, they're obviously trying to be sustainable.

I'm much more confident Adams ages well than I am Hill (but if you're Miami what are you gonna do? No deal is perfect, they had chips that needed to be cashed in)

I agree, some of these QB contracts are beyond ridiculous.

Mahomes may have already taken his last sip of champagne, but has 500m reasons not to care.

As for the Dolphins, they're still getting rolled by the Bills and Pats.

I'd guess Hill negotiations were going along then Adams got paid and that reset the market. KC didn't wanna go that high for Hill.

It is also a legitimate question if Miami can unlock Hill unique skillset the way KC did. I like the gamble more for Miami than how I think it'll workout for them. Him and Mahomes improvisation combo will be tough to duplicate.

That type of haul for KC you gotta be confident in your FO to get replace him though. 30M + picks is a lot.

Adding a WR rarely has a huge impact the way a QB or pass rusher can
Those are the only 2 worth a damn individually
Even those don't work out with QBs unless they are Manning or Brady

Cooper Kupp says whats up

WR is best position to pay besides QB pretty easily....Most don't get hurt nearly as much as a lineman can.

The first round pick the fins are giving up is the 29th pick in the draft so it doesnt bother me at all. Plus the fins kept BOTH first round picks for 2023 (SF)

Still getting rolled by the Pats?

The fins beat the Pats 2x last year

Every player/contract situation is different but AZ was also stone cold miserable without Hopkins last year. Taking losses left and right down the stretch after starting 7-0 (which was overachieving, but still....)

He was drafted by them
I am talking about a star wide receiver that played with a team and then gets traded or goes via free agency
The majority of teams that have won the SB past 20 years don't even have a huge superstar WR let alone got one that made a differnce via trade or free agency
