MLB | White Sox vs Royals
Play on: Royals -130 at betonline

Play - Kansas City w/Duffy (Game 922).

Edges - Royals: Duffy 1.29 ERA and 0.71 ERA at home this season; and 10-1 home career team starts in this series… White Sox: Quintana 7.94 ERA with 2.47 ERA away this season; and 1-4 last five team starts here. With Duffy 22-8 at home in his career team starts, look for Quintana to fall to 3-10 in his last 13 team starts during May here tonight. We recommend a 1* play on Kansas City. Thank you and good luck as always.

MLB | Angels vs Mariners
Play on: Angels +134 at 5Dimes

Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach MLB Tuesday Free Pick Los Angeles Angels Money Line (+) @ Seattle Mariners @ 10:10 ET - James Paxton has great numbers for the Mariners so, of course, they are favored here and will be a popular choice at home. However, as important as starting pitching is to the evaluation of where to put your wagering dollars in MLB, there certainly are many other factors. That is why sometimes starting pitching is over-emphasized and this opens up value on a team like the RED HOT Angels as an underdog. LA started off slow out of the gates this season but the Angels have now won 7 of their last 9 games. As for Seattle, they've lost 6 of their last 10. Also, as strong as Paxton has been for the M's this season, the southpaw did allow 5 earned runs in only 4 and 1/3 innings in his start prior to shutting down the Tigers last week. Why should we expect the Angels may hit him? Los Angeles swept the Mariners earlier this season and outhit them 35 to 20 in that 3-game series. The Mariners are only 8-12 against righties this season, 6-11 in night games, and 0-4 in Tuesday games. The Angels are 5-2 against lefties this season, 12-8 in night games, and 4-0 on Tuesdays! Matt Shoemaker gets the start for LA and has allowed 2 earned runs or less in 4 of his 5 starts this season. Paxton has been the more dominant hurler for sure but the other stats above are heavily in favor of the Angels and I am recommending taking a look at the dog in this one! Free Pick on the LOS ANGELES ANGELS on the money line as a road dog Tuesday. Best of luck, Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach

MLB | Giants vs Dodgers
Play on: Giants +153 at 5Dimes

DMack's Bonus Play for Tuesday, May 2, 2017

Not much to this .... basically betting a quality southpaw against the Dodgers in the blind. In fact, if you did just that from the start of the season you'd be up +4.8 units profit as the Bums just don't hit lefties a lick. Matt Moore faced LA just five nights ago going seven innings of one run two-hit ball in a game San Francisco ultimately lost 5-1 when it got to the pens. Betting the loser in a five-day pitching rematch is also a tried and true MLB betting angle that has been profitable for more than four decades. Take the Giants.

Tuesday’s NHL Stanley Cup Betting Preview and Odds

The Predators have received seven goals and 14 assists from their blue-liners in the first seven contests of the postseason.

Ottawa Senators at New York Rangers (-165, 5)

Sens lead series 2-0

ABOUT THE SENATORS (50-29-7-4, 35-50 O/U): New York was on its way toward evening the series as it held a two-goal advantage with less than 3 1/2 minutes remaining in Game 2. But Jean-Gabriel Pageau took over, scoring three straight goals - including the winner at 2:54 of the second overtime - to complete a four-goal performance and move Ottawa within two victories of the conference final. Pageau became just the second player in playoff history to cap a four-goal performance with an overtime winner - joining Joffrey Lupul, who accomplished the feat for Anaheim in Game 3 of the 2006 Western Conference semifinals against Colorado. The four-goal effort also was the first in the postseason since Game 4 of the 2010 Western Conference semifinals, when Detroit's Johan Franzen tallied four times against San Jose. Derick Brassard is tied for the team lead in playoff scoring with eight points but has yet to land on the scoresheet against his former club.

ABOUT THE RANGERS (52-30-4-4, 42-41 O/U): While they may have welcomed the rest, the New York Rangers couldn't have been pleased about receiving an extra day off between games after the manner in which they lost their last contest. Michael Grabner and Derek Stepan scored short-handed goals in Game 2, helping New York tie the franchise record for most in a playoff game. The Rangers, who lead the league with three short-handers in the postseason, also scored two in Game 7 of the 1992 Patrick Division semifinals against New Jersey. Brady Skjei became the first New York defenseman to record a multi-goal performance in the playoffs since Brian Leetch registered a hat trick in Game 2 of the 1995 Eastern Conference semifinals against Philadelphia.

LINE HISTORY: The Rangers opened as -165 moneyline favorites for Game 3 and that number has yet to move. The total hit the board at 5.

INJURY REPORT:

Senators - LW C. MacArthur (Probable, shoulder), D M. Borowiecki (Out Indefinitely, leg).

Rangers - No injuries to report.

TRENDS:

* Senators are 6-1 in their last 7 overall.
* Rangers are 4-1 in their last 5 home games.
* Under is 6-1 in Senators last 7 games playing on 2 days rest.
* Under is 8-2-1 in Rangers last 11 overall.
* Senators are 5-1 in the last 6 meetings.

St. Louis Blues at Nashville Predators (-170, 5)

Preds lead series 2-1

ABOUT THE BLUES (51-32-5-2, 36-40 O/U): The Blues will have to find a way to combat the Predators' versatile offense after being outshot 34-23 in Game 3 as Alex Steen scored their only goal in the second period, when they managed just four shots. Vladimir Tarasenko, who scored twice in a Game 2 victory, was limited to three shots on Sunday. Coach Mike Yeo made some line changes at practice Monday after stating his team was not competitive enough in Game 3. “I feel like we’re chasing the game way too much,” defenseman Joel Edmundson told reporters. “We’re waiting for something to happen when we should be dictating it.” Yeo moved center Jori Lehtera between Tarasenko (team-high 32 shots) and Jaden Schwartz (team-best seven points) while Paul Stastny reportedly centered Steen and Vladimir Sobotka at Monday’s skate.

ABOUT THE PREDATORS (47-30-8-4, 42-37 O/U): The Nashville Predators continue to get strong production from their talented defense corps as they plow through the playoffs and can take control of their Western Conference second-round series when they host the St. Louis Blues for Game 4 on Tuesday. The Predators have received seven goals and 14 assists from their blue-liners in the first seven contests of the postseason, with Ryan Ellis riding a six-game point streak. Ellis has tallied in back-to-back games and has three goals in the postseason to go along with five assists, while P.K. Subban (six points) and Roman Josi (three goals, five points) also have made big contributions. “We have great forwards that have the skill level to make a play, make a fake and then find our defensemen when they are open,” Subban told reporters. “We have to continue to do that.” Forwards Ryan Johansen and Filip Forsberg have added seven points apiece while 13 Predators have recorded a goal in the playoffs.

LINE HISTORY: Nashville opened as -165 favorites at home for game four and by Monday evening that number was bumped to -170. The total hit the betting board at 5 and has not moved off that number.

INJURY REPORT:

Blues - C R. Fabbri (Out For Season, knee).

Predators - RW C. Smith (Questionable, lower body), LW P. Aberg (Questionable, undisclosed), LW V. Fiddler (Questionable, possible suspension), LW K. Fiala (Out For Season, leg).

TRENDS:

* Blues are 5-1 in their last 6 games playing on 1 days rest.
* Predators are 8-2 in their last 10 home games.
* Under is 17-4-5 in Blues last 26 games playing on 1 days rest.
* Under is 4-0-2 in Predators last 6 home games.
* Blues are 0-4 in the last 4 meetings in Nashville.

Tuesday’s NBA Playoffs Betting Preview and Odds

The Golden State Warriors have been resting and the top-seeded team in the Western Conference plays for the first time in eight days when it opens the conference semifinals against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday.

Washington Wizards at Boston Celtics (-5.5, 218.5)

Celtics lead series 1-0

ABOUT THE WIZARDS (53-36 SU, 45-43-1 ATS, 55-33-1 O/U): The Washington Wizards jumped out to a big lead early in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals but quickly fell off the pace and now find themselves in an early hole in the best-of-seven series. Washington jumped out to a 16-0 lead and was ahead 38-24 at the end of the first quarter but watched that lead evaporate in the second quarter and disappear entirely in the third as it was outscored 71-42 in the middle two periods. Washington lost a big piece when starting power forward Markieff Morris went down in the first half of Game 1 with an ankle injury after landing on Al Horford's foot while drawing a foul. "He was in a lot of pain," star point guard John Wall, who collected 20 points and 16 assists in the loss, told reporters. "We were just hoping it wasn't his knee. He has an issue kind of spraining his ankles all the time, but we told him, 'if you don't shoot the free throw you can't come back in,' and he was just trying to get his space and take as much time as he needed." Morris, who hit the free throw before leaving the game, insisted after the contest that he would play Game 2 but others were skeptical after he was seen noticeably limping and reportedly struggled to put on his shoe over the swollen left ankle.

ABOUT THE CELTICS (58-31 SU, 45-42-2 ATS, 43-42-4 O/U): The Celtics used that ball pressure to drive into the lane and kick the ball out to open shooters while going 19-of-39 from 3-point range. Center Al Horford hit one 3-pointer as part of a 10-of-13 afternoon and helped direct the attack while finishing just shy of a triple-double with 21 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. Boston star Isaiah Thomas flew home to Tacoma, Wash., on Saturday for his sister's funeral and flew back across the country in time for the game, during which he delivered 33 points. "I mean, it's tough but it's the playoffs," Thomas told reporters. There's no excuses. I decided to play and I just tried to give it all I got for my team, and we came out with the win." Thomas, who had a tooth knocked out after running into an elbow early in Game 1, added nine assists and buried five of the Celtics' 19 3-pointers.

LINE HISTORY: The Celtics opened as 5.5-point favorites for Game 2 and that number has yet to move. The total opened at 219 and came down slightly to 218.5.

INJURY REPORT:

Wizards - PF M. Morris (Probable, ankle), C I. Mahinmi (Out Indefinitely, calf).

Celtics - PG I. Thomas (Probable, teeth).

TRENDS:

* Wizards are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.
* Celtics are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
* Over is 4-0-1 in Wizards last 5 road games.
* Over is 5-0 in Celtics last 5 vs. NBA Southeast.
* Wizards are 0-6 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Boston.

Utah Jazz at Golden State Warriors (-13.5, 206.5)

Series tied 0-0

ABOUT THE JAZZ (55-34 SU, 41-44-4 ATS, 45-44 O/U): The upstart Jazz received a stellar series performance from All-Star small forward Gordon Hayward while slaying the Clippers to give the franchise its first playoff series win since 2010. Hayward averaged 23.7 points in the series against the Clippers, including a career-best 40 in Game 3, despite being sent home at halftime of Game 4 due to food poisoning. Utah will require another stellar effort from the pending free agent for it to have any chance of upsetting the powerful Warriors. "You can see his confidence out there," Snyder told reporters of Hayward. "He's played through missed shots, contact, hot streaks, you name it. He's handled that with poise, and he's a heck of an offensive player. He's so versatile that he's hard to guard, and we try to use him in a way that allows him to shine in those situations."

ABOUT THE WARRIORS (71-15 SU, 43-40-3 ATS, 35-51 O/U): The Golden State Warriors have been resting and the top-seeded team in the Western Conference plays for the first time in eight days when it opens the conference semifinals against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday. Golden State coach Steve Kerr (back surgery complications) is expected to miss the series and it will be up to acting coach Mike Brown to get his players focused, as several of them were chirping that they would have rather played the Clippers than the Jazz due to the lack of nightlife in Utah. Point guard Stephen Curry averaged 29.8 points and made 19 3-pointers in the sweep of Portland and he averaged 26.3 points in three regular-season meetings against the Jazz. Shooting guard Klay Thompson averaged just 18.3 points on 38.8 percent shooting against the Trail Blazers and registered just one 20-point outing.

LINE HISTORY: The Warriors opened as huge 13-point favorites and that wasn't enough for the public as, by Monday afternoon, the line was bumped to -13.5. The total opened at 208 and was dropped slightly to 206.5.

INJURY REPORT:

Jazz - PF D. Favors (Questionable, back), SG A. Burks (Out Indefinitely, knee).

Warriors - SF M. Barnes (Probable, ankle), PG S. Livingston (Questionable, finger), SF K. Looney (Out Indefinitely, hip).

TRENDS:

* Jazz are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games.
* Warriors are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 vs. Western Conference.
* Over is 6-0-1 in Jazz last 7 Conference Semifinals games.
* Over is 5-1 in Warriors last 6 Conference Semifinals games.
* Jazz are 1-6 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Golden State.
