I finished the master cleanse about three weeks ago. I am 33, I weighed 203lbs then I fasted for 17 days, followed by one week of nothing but fresh squeezed juices and salads. Since then I have been eating a mostly vegan diet (and hardly any alcohol) with a few exceptions and I have continued to lose weight. I now weigh 172lbs. So I Have lost 31lbs in just over a month. I haven't felt this good in over a decade! I highly recommend the master cleanse. I think I will do it again this year, and try to do it for longer. I went through some serious detox on day 12 and thought I was going to die, but after that I started losing 2-3lbs a day and feeling great and energized. 17 days with no food and I was still taking shits, sprinting up hills, doing yoga, sit-ups, pushups etc... I had no shortage of energy other than a few days of heavy detoxing.

Day 1

Well decided to start the Lemonade Diet Master Cleanse. Today is day 1, I will weigh my self tonight at the gym and keep you posted as it goes along.

The salt water flush was horrible....i only drank about 1/2 of it, but its the first day. Tomorrow I will try adding a little lemon to it to add some sort of flavor. My other thought is to just make 2 "shots" with the salt in it, hammer those then drink plain warm water immediately after the shots. It should be the same result.

I have had only 2 lemonade drinks thus far, and its really not that bad tasting, obviously not great, but tolerable and much more tasty than the Salt water.

Some questions:
Did you drink any of the tea they recomendede before bed? Brand?

IS there anyway to get lemon juice besides the actual lemon? I found some juice that is labeled "not from concentrate" on it...will that work?

How many lemons did you use per drink? And did you use some sort of juicer or just do it by hand?

Yes, I drank the tea before bed. It doesn't taste too good, but tolerable. The brand is Traditional Medicinals, Smooth Move Herbal Stimulant Laxative. Can get that at any GNC or local Vitamin Outlet type shop.

I would just use an actual lemon instead of using any type juice.

I used 1/2 a lemon per drink. Just cut one in half and squeeze it by hand into the cup. Wrap the other half in a baggy, throw it in fridge for later use.

Day one official weigh in is 230 lbs. 4/16/2007
Light workout with free weights followed by 10 moinute walk on treadmill.
Only drank 4 lemon drinks and will have the tea before bed. Not necessarily hungry, but would definatley like to eat something right now.
I will make it through the whole SWF tomorrow morning and report how it goes.

Managed to down the whole SWF this morning. Did it with 2 small shots with the salt, then the rest of the warm water as a chaser.

This was a 630 am, and by 7:45 I had "pissed" out of my ass 4 times and was ready to make the drive to work. Made it without any problems and the runs have seemed to stop for the day. 2 Lemon drinks today so far.

The Man....how many drinks per day did you do on average?

Keep it up! It all gets easier. Try using warm water for the SWF, that made it easier for me!

I recently did a 5 day cleanse at a retreat and felt great at the end, worst was the headache from caffiene withdrawal. They let me smoke while I was doing it which may have negated some of the effects? I want to try the Master Cleanse at home but still haven't kicked the cigs. Has anyone continued to smoke while cleansing? I am also looking at some stuff called Blessed Herbs which looks like satchels of clay you mix with apple juice and drink exclusively for a week. Has anyone tried this product?

Day 4...

Days 1-3 were a breeze, no side effects. The SWF works on me inside of 30 minutes, then i am done for the day. Its pretty much straight water gushing out.

Have averaged 6 Lemonade drinks per day. Actually like the taste.

Have been drinking the tea, and last night was the first night (Day 4 morning) I woke up with stomach pains at 4 am, had to shit 2 times, (basically liduid with some mass). Once that passed I was fine. Woke up again at 630 drank the salt water, and shit four more times between 715 and 8 am when i headed out to work.

Energy levels seem fine. Did have slight headache yesterday, but nothing servere. Weighed in at 225 (loss of 5lbs) on Day 2 at the gym. Played softball last night, so will weigh in again tonight and post results tomorrow. My hopes coming in was to cleanse the body and drop down to 220 during the process. With 5 lbs coming off from Day 1 to Day 2, I dont know what to expect tonight. If i am at 220 already, i am not sure I want to continue, as dropping that weight that quickly cant be a good thing. I dont consider my self over weight at 230, being 6-4 and a gym goer. But I thought 220 was a better weight for me.

Will report tonight after the gym.

Day 5... weighed in at 224. so six lbs in 5 days.

Nothing new to report, all is the same. Weekend will be very tough though. This could quite possibly be the first weekend w/o some form of alcohol since i was 18....if I amke it thru thiss weekend, 10 days will be easy. :drink:

Hey Man- How bout an update from you since its been a while. Are you back to eating what you were before?Did the weight stay off? You thinking of going back on?

Pretty much back to eating what I normally did, but have cleaned it up and try to keep it that way. The weight has stayed off for the most part and now currently excersising on a regular basis. I'll weigh myself in tomorrow to see exactly where I'm at weight-wise in regards to what I weighed after the cleanse.

I plan on doing this again and would like to do it 2 a year or so.

Try it out man, it's a good change of pace from all of the regular everyday bullshit.

It gave me alot of energy while I was on it. I just wish I wouldn't of gotten gout in my foot while I was on it. I would like to do it again but scared of that coming back was the most intense pain i've ever experienced. The weight has stayed of probably because I cut way back on my drinking. It's weird booze doesnt taste the same after doing that. It kinda pisses me off!!!!

Day 9

This was easy now then when I started...weeekend peer pressure was the hardest part and laying off the booze.

Day 8 night time weight was 219.

Happy with where I am at, hopefully it stays off.
