It always amazes me how out of tune theRX is with the rest of the world. Republican no matter what. Occasionally Stormfronty. I love all of you guys but it's a strange political dynamic to me.

A dem is likely winning again. Hopefully it's Bernie. Probably Hillary.

It amazes you that middle aged, upper middle class, white men would vote for candidates that benefit their perceived rational self-interest? I would be amazed if they didn't. In a similar sense, it's not surprising that you support Bernie Sanders.

Sorry, but I can't help laugh at this post. Any of the candidates on the Republican side would make a much better President than that vile, corrupt lying whore Hillary Clinton. The
fact that people are lining up to pull the lever for such an inept, corrupt piece of shit is astounding to me. But, then again people elected that inept poser in the White House twice.
What a sad state of affairs politics in this country has become.

Agree with that last line.

I'm not a Hillary fan but the Republican party has gone sooooooo far right wing that at this point that I can't back them. Rand might be doable but he's not his daddy either. We shall see.

Pretty sure I'm middle-aged and middle class. Well if I live to 65 I'm middle-aged anyway. The shift of the Republican party to wayyyyyy far right just scares me. I don't agree with all of Bernie's policies, even though I think people being scared of socialism is a bit overblown. If nothing else he's not going to BS anyone and he's not letting big money influence his decision-making. In today's political landscape that's huge.

For the record, I'm not a big fan of full-on socialist policies. More of a fan of Bernie as a human. I side with Republicans more as far as the economy goes but disagree at too many other spots to back anyone. It's either Hillary or Bernie for me until the Repubs go back more toward the middle. They scare me.

Sanders says he is in favor of a top tax bracket of 90% - no that is not a misprint - and I don't care if you make 100 million per year - that is simply barbaric - he's unelectable

Hopefully, Clinton tells a few more lies this week or deletes some more shit - then she will be an after thought and the dems don't have a real candidate

By middle aged I mean 40-50, not 30-35. We certainly agree on the bold. I'd just like to give capitalism, rather than our current crony capitalism, a chance before we make the turn to socialism.

Yeah, it's fairly insane to think that the government could end up with more of your income than you do.

Sanders is not For a 90% tax rate, not calling for a 90% tax rate. As usual Fox News types misconstrued his answer, talking about how we did once have a 90% tax rate on the very wealthy, and that it wasn't too high, the Country prospered.

No he didn't say let's bring it back, but the idea is he doesn't see a 92% marginal tax rate as obscene. I see it as obscene. I'm not voting for a guy who wouldn't have a problem with kicking it back near 90.

I'm sure he's a nice guy but the world was destroyed post-WW2 so there really wasn't much global competition at all. The world is just a different place today where you have to compete on costs as much as anything else, taxes are a part of that cost. Not to mention a lot of tax was sheltered in tax havens to avoid paying the 90%.

If you think it's occasionally stormfronty up here, you should dip your toe in the Poli Hellhole, where StormFronters would call many of the posters down there commie Lefty's. :):)

That's because Rand backtracks and talks out of both sides of his mouth too often, on too many things. I wanted to consider him, but he's just too flip floppy on too many things.
Fake News definitely put their commentators on an Anti Trump, Pro Cruz mission with their questions. Teddy was lobbed softball after softball, Trump was lobbed bombs.

Congrats! To a non-supporter of Trump for understanding the intent of the Fox moderators!

What policies do you speak of that the Republicans are so far right?

The debate really created no winners or losers
If there was a big loser it was the moderators & especially
Kelly. Bringing up a main talking point of the Democratics,
'The War on women' & trying to tie it to Don Trump was as
repulsive a tactic as immaginable. In my opinion she should
take her porn star makeup & fake hair extensions to MSNBC
were this 'war on women' stuff has traction.

Her she was, thinking she’s made a devastating point, already figuratively
turning around to accept high-fives from her pals. Guess what there were
non coming & I loved the way he put her down in typical Trump fashion.

The best final statement came from Carson, pretty unique
ingenious ending.

Megan and the rest did what they were told, get Trump, let Cruz skate. The way they questioned Trump was fine. Hold his feet to the fire, bring up his past words, etc. That's what moderators in these debates should do. But the fact that they did it to him, and didn't hold Cruz and some others to the same tough standard was what's hypocritical.

'get trump'? good grief, hardly. If they wanted to lay into him they most certainly could have- starting with HOW will he get 'mexico to pay for the wall', or are you retracting said statement , Mr Trump'? :)

his boorish discourse has consequences- if a moderator wants to ask for clarification as to comments he has made, well too fucking bad. Answer them.

of course, the grossly thin skinned Trump is STILL 'counter punching' LOL

https://www.yahoo.com/politics/donald-trump-lashes-out-at-megyn-kelly-for-debate-126094023911.html

Around 3 a.m. Friday, the real estate tycoon took aim at the Fox News moderators he claims singled him out for tough questions during the first major debate over the party’s nomination for the 2016 White House.
Trump saved the bulk of his animus for Megyn Kelly, who challenged him for having called women he dislikes “fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals.”
“Wow, @megynkelly really bombed tonight. People are going wild on twitter! Funny to watch,” he wrote on Twitter.

The billionaire tycoon also unleashed his barbed tongue on Fox News analyst Frank Luntz, who led a post-debate focus group that was critical of his performance.
“.@FrankLuntz is a low class slob who came to my office looking for consulting work and I had zero interest. Now he picks anti-Trump panels!” he said.
The Donald’s resentment showed no sign of subsiding after daybreak. He called “Fox & Friends” to say that he felt comfortable taking the stage with nine other contenders until Kelly hit him with “that really tough question.”

very Presidential behaviour, no?.........:)

ah, American politics hitting new lows......

More I think about it I'm starting to like Rubio more, but need to know where he really stands on immigration.
