10 people is a tough format. Just tough to standout, it's so fragmented, they're all fairly big personalities.

I feel like you won't see much consensus opinion on the winners and losers.

Cruz was given softball after softball. He didn't lose, he said what his base wanted him to say. Paul stood out enough to not lose. Carson and Walker were the big losers, IMO. Just not ready for the big stage. Huckanbee was bad also. Trump did well considering Fox was trying to sabotage him. Christie and Bush were just there. Rubio and Kasich did very, very well. They were the biggest winners today along with Carly.

i think Carson did fine

His message resonates with the right but he gets lost in all of those personalities. Unfortunately he is not a politician....a good man but not a politician. Although I may have been too early, his closing statement was pretty damn good.

Yeah I feel like Trump can probably spin this positively to whatever supporters he has. I mean, he had to be thinking in his head "These fuckers beg me to come on TV every single day and now this?"

+1 Trump was Trump. Don't see him losing his supporters.

Honestly.....I didn't think Trump had a fucking clue what he was talking about. Just sound bite nonsense. He can't possibly win.

Rubio was very impressive. Like I said weeks ago.....a Rubio/ Kasich ticket is a winner.

Trump is post-policy. He doesn't have any nuanced debate or descriptive plan, he's just really successful and he is gonna run the gov't like a business or something. Bring the jobs back from China.

Whatever chance he has to win isn't based on intellect or ideas, it's based on a referendum of the political class and the fact he isn't bought and paid for. How far that goes? I doubt very far but someone a little less bombastic with similar credentials could maybe come along after him and build on what he is doing.

The biggest moment of the debates was the Christie/Paul exchange. LOL at Fox news saying Christie won that exchange. It wasn't even close. I felt so bad for Christie that I wanted to give a big hug afterward.

How dumb can someone be to classify themselves as democrat or republican and blindly follow that group. Quite amazing. I always felt like the future was fucked but now im beginning to believe these 50 something year olds are what is wrong with the country. No new ideas. No common sense. No sense of reality. Just old rich white people.

He's sharp as whip though. He has his finger on the pulse of what voters are thinking.

I missed some of that exchange but GOP primary voters choosing a pro-national security/safety stance over civil liberties does make sense to me. I think his data probably backs that up.

Civil liberties sounds nice and all but killing ISIS sounds better to the majority of people.

Rubio may be a better political communicator than Obama

Rubio IS the R's 2008 Obama. Pretty much the same resume. A younger guy who speaks to the new generation, running against an old person. It's gonna be pretty hypocritical for those who think Obama was too young and inexperienced to support Rubio, but they will when it comes down to it.

Rubio/Carson. Carson would appease the right wingers and maybe draw some African American dems. And he is as much of a politician as Colin Powell was and is a true Republican.

Have you seen Penn and Teller Bullshit on Luntz? Luntz will get what ever the pollsters want him to get. He asked how many were supporting Trump. Everyone raises hand. How many now? Everyone puts their hands down but one person. Okay?

Yeah I mean he is an expert in voter psychology, he knows exactly what to say to sort of manipulate the answer he wants. His focus group audience probably skewed older too. Rand resonates with younger folks more and I'm not sure how many of them are gearing up to watch a debate in August.

I think a lot of young people were watching, because of the Trump factor, drinking games, were going around twitter facebook.
