Bingo..and i don't usually agree with this guy

you two are alone in this one. Even a quick google search will show exclusively to feed in a crate while training. Don't blame you for not agreeing with him much though...

this is why threads like this are bad.there are many different ways people train dogs, depending on the breed and there will be 1001 answers and he will never know which one is the right one,and all in all everyone most likely has the right ideas.

i don't want to start a back and forth deal about this with you,as you did make some very good points, and some others also did,but when you respond to mine with the word BULLSHIT,well thats when im done talking about the subject anymore.

so ill just let you have your merry way and give defying all the advice,...good luck my friend

Fair enough. Bye bye.

One last thing. In Florida I had a acre that was fenced in and then when I moved to missouri 5 years ago, I put in the Pet Safe Stubburn dog in ground containment system and they took to it better than I could have ever imagined. They WILL not leave the yard. The only problem with it is that it does not keep other things out.

Best breed there is for a lot of reasons. Hope she continues to find the strength to fight the battle, sir.

Thanks, she is great! I am also giving her 2 types of Herbs that I get from my old vet in Florida. The oncologist said 7-11 months, but I am holding out hope that she beats it all together!

My sister has a American Bulldog that has had nasal cancer for 18 months now and she was told she would be gone in 3 months, so you just never know.

I know man. American Bulldogs are tough breeds as well. I had one in 2000, and in 2002, he died of seizures. When they first started, I thought they were dreams, but they got worse. Sucks too because his parents were sled pulling National Champions, and I had that goal for him. RIP Chief Paw Diesel. Do you know if she has a Johnson or Scott line?

They have all been Johnson's. She has had 3 and all have gotten cancer, but made it to 10+ years. I had one that got cancer at 6 years and passed while under going chemo. She recently (4 years ago) got a Alapaho (sp?) bulldog from California. She is nuts for the breed and will always have one.

The seizures suck! I have seen dogs have them and it is heart breaking!

That's awesome. I will eventually get another American Bulldog. I am very partial to 3 dog breeds...Pits, Cane Corso, and American Bulldogs. I love ALL dogs though, and even kitties too...

I thought the dog was older (4-5 months) After going to the vet hes about 10 weeks. Still has his puppy teeth and is clearly teething. He wants to chew everything all the time... walls, clothes ect... Worst is hands and feet. How do you get him not to chew hands

I use a firm NO! Then walk away like you are upset at him. If he stops, stroke him and say good boy and give him a treat. I am also into the water spray bottle. I use this on my cats as well. Say No! Then squirt him. I haven't had one yet that it didn't work after the first time. Now if I just pick it up, they know I me an business and stop what they're doing...
