Coldweather- My apologies for not thanking you sooner, for your post herein, dated, July 12, 2011. Not only was I a tad unsure what one could or could not comment on within this particular section of the Tracker Forum, and while I'm limited to what areas I can comment in, since I saw your July 12 post, I figured I could at least respond, but due to a recent corneal transplant, in May of 2011, my vision tends to sometimes be "off." Until all suitures are removed, my vision tends to "change", until the donar's cornea takes its final position. Making no excuses, however, it is what it is. I'm sure the vision will improve as the remaining suitures are removed. So again, thank you for the kind reply re: my MLB "work."
On a unrelated topic, you may or may not remember when I first engaged discussing the L.S.U./ Oregon game. I said, "I can't wait to wager on L.S.U. and would lay up to 9 1/2 points, and see just exactly what kind of price/odds I could get. That was before Jefferson got suspended, which of course, in the end, I knew was a true "blessing" not only to me, as the line went up on Oregon, but also created a great position for me, when "throwing my 9 1/2 points bait in the water", hoping to catch a big fish. Well, I caught lots of fish, and the dividends were unreal. I tried to share my knowledge and reasoning about my feelings regarding this game and the very strong position I took, with many posters here at The RX.com. I hope my efforts did not fall on deaf ears. I know many good cappers here disagreed immensely, and I respected that. However, for those who had no opinion, and those who were caught in the middle, I only hope they considered my remarks and my laying up to 9 1/2 to get a very nice price, not just some dream, but a well thought out move, backed up by info, both inside and statistical, as well as 35 years of handicapping experience, and followed me. Afterall, isn't that what its all about? Helping others?
In closing, my only concern was Jefferson's inability to "manage" a football game, in lieu of resorting to reasonable options when a play goes bad, such as looking for secondary receivers as opposed to just running because of his God given skill and ability. In the alternative, I felt more comfortable with the less talented Lee at QB, as he unlike Jefferson, will listen to his coaches and make every effort to "run the offense" instead of showing his individual skills. No QB is worth 4 1/2 ponts, particularly when I made "my line", as I do on every game, at L.S.U. - 2 1/2. Good luck to you and the entire RX family of posters this season. What a great way to start the season! The great thing about this forum (The RX.com) is that every word I said regarding this game can be found in the threads. And it was posted when it was news, not history! Again, thank you and GL to all!
