yeah, I added those plays to CW's line by mistake... surprised he hasn't come in and read me the riot act too... probably cuz of all the extra winners I gave him. lol

JOH- FYI: I read your note regarding communicating within the thread (MLB Selections). Thank you for making me aware of that rule, however, if you notice, that was the first and only time, I ever received a reply from another (except you), since I began participating in the contest. I was somewhat shocked and found it odd when receiving the message. I started NOT to respond, but in a spirit of not being rude, and not knowing that rule, I of course responded. Personally, I agree it is not appropriate to "clutter" up a thread, as you have enough to "wade" through as it is, to do the great job you do. I also, did not appreciate, that person, asking what I deem "personal" questions, more particularly regarding how much I wager "in real life." So in closing, thank you for the heads up, and if I had it to do all over again, I would not have responded to those questions.

I will do my very best!

FYI: Some of our "new" MLB Contest leaders, are not posting the source or emporium sites that at one time or another before a ame started, shows the money line, or more particularly the run line or totals and prices. I admit it is a time consuming thing to do, but I try my best to do it, and am not insinuating anyone is not using correct run totals or prices. Particularly for newcomers, I can easily understand how this can happen. Ex. Team A 4 runs over for game -115, or Team C, -145 (1st 5 innings) etc. These are selections that while are obviously acceptable, should be subject to the same rules that entire game money lines and completed game totals are subjected to. Please know, I have made errors, like the one where I did not site Game 1 in a DH. But the line itself in that game, made it easy to go back and look at the line in Game 1

....(I got cut off).....I just feel all selections in MLB, complete game/ money lines, totals for complete games, total runs o/u for one team, team ahead after 5 innings, or any other selection, should have the source / emporium sited. Thanks!

Harry... I appreciate the concerted effort you put into what you describe above and it's true, that should be part of posting plays but I will leave it up to the discretion of each poster whether they feel obligated to add sources. I bust balls enough trying to get most rules followed but here I will allow a bit of leniency. I'll be the first to admit I'm as guilty as anyone, whether it be for lack of time or just laziness when recognizing the book used. One thing I try to do is keep a close watch on the lines used compared to my scoring source and if I see something drastically off, I will mention it. thanks

JOH- No worries. No matter what line or prices one may post as a selection, the selection must still win. In my lifetime, I've seen players wagering real money get "wrong lines" in their favor. Instead of being honest and calling it to a clerk's attention, they laugh and think they have a great edge. That may be true if one got outrageous prices or lines on many games daily. But usually, guys like that lose. "The gambling gods never sleep."
You do a great job as I've said before, and its a contest all in fun. I guess even when I play for fun, I want to win or lose "on the square."

Thanks,
Harry

Past Posting....its very simple and the rules are worldwide. If everyone makes their selections on or before gametime, acoording to the RX Line/Odds Grid, there can never be any problems with when games start or how late they start. I subscribe to MLB.com like others. And today, the Detroit game did start several minutes late, but definitely not after 1:15 EST. Thats irrelevant. If it started at 1:06 p.m. EST, thats too late to make a selection in that game. JOH has enough work to do, and does not have the time nor should he have to check each exact game start time by the minute. Thats why we have a grid that turns red, which means, no more bets in that game!!! As soon as the line grid for any game turns red, the game is theoretically "gone." If everyone made their selections at or before gametime, not 30 minutes or 25 minutes later, right or wrong, we would all be on the same page. I'm sure any errors made today were honest, however, rules are rules and no one is above them. Make selections according to official starting times, and should a game begin late, thats life. Play by the rules. Its not fair to those who did not know the game was several minutes late. But I assure you, it was not as late a start as the time on a certain wager was indicated. Good luck to all! Just touch all the bases and we can all get a fair shake. Good job JOH.

Some people need to get a life.

We are trying to beat the books..not each other. The standings mean squat to me.

Detroit game didnt start until after 1:35 EST. There is a video which I posted which proves this fact. People make themselves look stupid by not knowing the correct facts.

Some people need to know the difference from a winner and a loser.

Monday, June 27, 2011

Minnesota - Loser
Cubs Over 11 - Loser
San Diego Padres - Loser
Arizona - Loser

Thats (4) Four Losers, NOT (3) three! Big change in a man's figure! I'm sure thats just a honest error. But a glaring one!!!

Fat Harry

P.S. The standings mean alot to me. I like to win!

Padres won you dumb ass. Thanks for stalking. Apparently, you are incompetent even in that..LOL.

Everyday you show people how stupid you are in new ways....LOL.

My apologies. But you don't have to call names. So, I got a bad score, grow up and stop the name calling. Or do you give a squat about that?

You seem more concerned about other peoples picks than yours own. How about you focus on what you are doing instead of what others are doing. JOH is there to do that part.

I never have opened your thread even once....because I don't care what you pick.

But apparently you are in love with me with the constant stalking.

I usually don't respond to people...because I usually don't care. But if someone attacks my character, I am going to attack back.

Again, I repeat. I am here to beat the books. Not some no-name forum poster whom I never heard of.

All I ask is that you let me handle things here. If I make a mistake then pounce on me. No sense in getting in a pissing contest with others. If there's a scoring error, I usually find it. It's been going well up to this point so rather than getting all worked up trying to micro-manage, just sit back and keep your nose clean.

Btw, you can't beat SportsOptions for accurate scoring updates... LAST NIGHT'S MLB SCORES

Attention all players. According to the latest edition of The Sporting News, America's #1 MLB newspaper, most major league managers, particularly divison leaders, will be resting key (older starters) players, as often as possible between now and The All Star Game. So, it might be wise to check starting lineups before making selections. Top teams will still be favorites, as will top pitchers, however, tread lightly. Just a suggestion. There should be some dogs that will be overpriced.
