the dude is 71...he ain't going no where...

That's what they said about Monte Kiffin.

Buster, I would bet you $500 that LeBeau is gone within the next two years. Tomlin and Lebeau have very different defensive philosophies.

Tomlin seems like a great guy, players love him, fans love him. I just don't think that he's untouchable now that he won a SB

Yeah but wouldn't that make him a good coach by properly assessing what works and looking at the personnel of the team by retaining LeBeau instead of putting in a 4-3 which may not match up with the people he has on the field?

Absolutely. I give Tomlin big time credit for that. Many coaches are hard headed and want to do it there way but Tomlin has been malleable and has realized that LeBeau's system works and works very well.

not a bad choice to kick a field goal you dont want to leave points on the field. what happens if they get stopped then zona gets a couple of first downs and punt.... steelers lose the field postion game which is big

I've thought he was a great coach since they got him.

Maybe just because he looks so damn cool on the sideline.

Who Omar Epps?

Seriously, I give much props to him for just doing this in 2 years. He's got the support of the entire city and franchise. But i dig his style. A definite, hard nosed, players coach. I loved his post game speech. Forgot who he was speaking to, but the bottom line was how its 4 quarters of hardnosed, never give up, Steelers football. There was more to it, but I just can't remember it all.

Definitely my kinda coach.

btw, Holmes's game winning catch was unfucking real. Props to Ben for delivering it into triple coverage and out of bounds.

tomlin is nothing special, yet. This team was given to him, He is basically riding the wave that cowher built for him. We will see how good he is come next season. They might not even make the playoff's. congrats to him and the pitt team even though they were completly outplayed. The only thing to save his ass was penalties.

Thanks to NFL for shafting the Steelers with the toughest schedule for the Super Bowl winning season and guess what the reward is? The 2009 regular schedule already being in plan before SB XLIII- easy schedule! Hey,Mikey Phelps wannabee get off the pipe and yes, they'll make the playoffs in 2009 due weak-ass AFC North Division with our crap neighboring state's 2 teams that would rival the big-time state university. Tomlin will have Big Ben to the lead the team for a long time!

It's that way every yr w scheduling. The steeler's have a great core of guy's in their prime and if big ben contiues to play that good they will definitely make another run. It will be even tougher next yr to be this good given their schedule will be just as hard if not harder. All in all it was a great super bowl until the ref's showed up.gl next yr to the steele see threw curtain.

22 players played on the Super Bowl 40 team. that is less than half of the team.

As great as Cowher and Dungy have both been, they both only won 1 SB. Tomlin won 1 in his 2nd year. I also think his personality will lend it self to keeping players and getting good FAs.

By the way, "how is your editor doing" My favorite quote of the season.

I bet against the Steelers because I thought Tomlin is a liability. I remember him making some major gaffs on the sidelines over the last two years. Had to do with clock management, Timeouts, and kicking FGS. I don't think he's a very good game situation coach. Pittsburg was very lucky to get past Baltimore, and than to beat Zona. I think Zona lost the SB by being so conservative on their opening possesion. I believe they ran the ball 5 out of 6 plays and than punted. I'm puzzled to why they were so conservative to start the game. Probably cost them 3 to 7 points. I believe Pitt's defense is overated and Zona is the better team.
