The Kings have struggled a lot over the last couple of weeks, going just 3-5 SU and 1-7 ATS in their previous eight games overall. They still look like a much better offensive team than the Magic, who also struggle to defend at a high level. I’m expecting the Kings to tighten up their defense in this favorable matchup, while Fox and Sabonis will make a difference on the other side of the ball.

Joel Embiid is listed as questionable for this game, so he may play. My guess is he won't play as they will give him more time to rest his foot. They have Oklahoma City at home after this Detroit game and I bet they rest him for that game too, as they get him ready for a long five game west coast road trip that follows. As for this game, the Sixers don't need Embiid. They smoked the Pistons in Detroit and they should have just as easy a time against them playing at home Tuesday. The Pistons are 1-8 against the spread in the last 9 meetings in Philadelphia. Take the Sixers here to cover the spread.

The Clippers are defending the 3-point line very well, and I think they have enough firepower to outlast the Mavericks even if Paul George remains on the sidelines. Kawhi Leonard is slowly building up his form, scoring 20-plus points in three of his last four appearances, while Ivica Zubac should dominate the Mavs in the paint. Dallas will be in trouble if Luka Doncic misses his second straight game. The Mavs are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall and 1-5 ATS in their previous six outings on the road. The Clippers haven’t covered in five straight games, but they are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings with the Mavericks.

I love the Celtics (-9) at home in this game, as I don't believe the Pelicans are healthy enough to hang with them on the road. They will be without Ingram and Williamson again in this game, as I don't see them being the same team without them on the floor. The Celtics are also one of the top teams in the NBA in my opinion, as I see them blowing out the Pelicans in this game. According to dunksandthrees.com, the Celtics have the highest adjusted offensive rating and the eighth-lowest defensive rating. They will get the job done on both ends of the floor, which will allow them to quickly pull away. The Boston Celtics are also scoring the second most points per game and they can score from anywhere on the floor. Tatum and Brown will stay efficient throughout and carry their team on the offensive end of the court. The Pelicans are a good team, but I don't see them battling with the Celtics on the road without Williamson. Boston will dominate on both ends and the Celtics will cover this spread.

The Kings have gone 3-1-1 ATS in their previous five meetings with the Rockets, who are 1-5 ATS in their last six showings on the road.

The Warriors got their star Stephen Curry back last game against the Phoenix Suns, but they looked sluggish and did not turn on the jets until midway through the third quarter. By that time, the Suns had built a 20-point lead and the Warriors could not overcome it. They get the tanking San Antonio Spurs Friday, and they are the perfect remedy for Curry and the gang to get things back on the right track.
Steve Kerr will have his guys going right from the jump, hopping on a Spurs team that is next to last in the Western Conference standings. They are more concerned with the top pick than winning games at this point of the year. Take the Warriors to win and win big, by 20 or more points.

Considering that Phoenix won the last time these teams met, one would be inclined to lean toward the Suns. But it is time to be real. There is a reason why Memphis is on this long winning streak. The team is getting spectacular play across the board, especially from Morant, who is shooting 46.6% percent, averaging 27.4 points per game. Phoenix is just not the same without Paul. He is the guy that gets this team going, and his absence against a hot Memphis team is not a recipe for success. Look for the Grizzlies to wear down the Suns on their way to victory.

The defense got shredded against Portland, but a lot of that had to do with being road weary at the end of a west coast swing. Take the Mavericks here to cover.

This is a brutal spot for Minnesota after losing a nationally televised thriller on Wednesday night. The Timberwolves are not only having to deal with the emotional letdown of that game, but they are playing the second leg of a back-to-back against a team that had the day off on Wednesday. Minnesota has been dealing with injuries to three of its best players, which will certainly play a role in this game as well. Toronto has the ninth-ranked defense in the NBA, making the Raptors a good team to back on the road against a tired, shorthanded team.
1k Philadelphia -2 (WON BIG)
The 76ers are defending the 3-point line very well, so I’m expecting them to continue with a strong performance and outlast the Trail Blazers at Moda Center. Joel Embiid has been unstoppable all season, and the Blazers are not a good defensive team. Damian Lillard continues to impress (39.0 PPG over his last six appearances), but the rest of the pack is underperforming, and the Blazers will have a tall task to execute their offense at a high level in this matchup. Portland has gone 3-7 SU and ATS in its last ten contests overall. The Trail Blazers are 1-4 ATS in their last five meetings with the Eastern Conference, while the 76ers are 5-0 SU and 3-2 ATS in their previous five showings on the road.

1k San Antonio Under 232 (LOST)
San Antonio ranks seventh in pace heading into this inter-conference game with the Clippers. They have not been competitive in many games this year, but they do play hard considering they are trotting out a G League lineup. Keldon Johnson is their only reliable scorer, and with Paul George and Kawhi back for this game, the Clippers will put forth a much stronger defensive effort than last game when Utah dropped 126. San Antonio is last in defensive rating, and I expect the Clippers to blow them out and call off the dogs late.

The under is 5-0 in the Warriors last five games versus a team with a winning record. I firmly believe Golden State will be running out of gas in the second half and will be counting down the minutes until they can return home. The under has gone 5-0 in the last five meetings between these teams and 5-2 in the last seven meetings in Cleveland. Over the last three meetings the Cleveland defense has held Golden State to an average of just 102 points per game. With the Warriors on the last leg of a five-game road trip, I really like Cleveland’s defense stepping up and holding Golden State’s offense down once again.
